Absolutely enjoyed the food!! Beyond Flavor definitely lives up to its name. Everything is indeed packed with flavor. My husband and I ordered fried chicken, catfish, henny flavored shrimp, candied yams, mac & cheese, dirty rice, and cornbread. We enjoyed every single bite. There’s both outdoor and indoor seating. Parking is limited. Service was awesome! Highly recommend!!
Open air setting was comfortable and well shaded. Staff is friendly and quick, you do have a slight wait for the food to be cooked fresh, though it's well worth the wait. The Henny shrimp is easily my favorite. I want to preface all of the food was flavorful, hot and tasty. The fish had a crispy exterior while remaining moist and flaky inside. The regular dirty rice was my least enjoyed part of the meal. I can't put my finger on it but I felt something was missing. Considering 2 people could easily eat from either plate I think it is an excellent value if eating out, and you are supporting a local business. Win win!
If I could give Beyond Flavor more than 5 stars, I would! I had the “O My” platter with the catfish fillets, voodoo mac and cheese, and dirty cabbage, and honestly—it was some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life. The flavors were incredible, the catfish was perfectly cooked, and that voodoo mac? Unreal. Portions are generous too—$20 got me a plate so hearty I practically had to roll myself out of there. This is soul food done right, and I’m already planning my next visit. Highly, highly recommend!
First time visiting. Food & service was 10/10. We appreciated the fact that they don’t cook with pork or beef. Everything is made fresh to go! We didn’t wait long. We were able to eat right there, plenty of tables. Good atmosphere! When I come back to SA I’ll be sure to visit again!! Thank you
I finally got to see what the hype was about. I have seen posts online about this food truck and decided to check it out. The menu has something for everyone who loves seafood. I had the barnyard catch that included catfish and fried chicken. I also tried the dirty rice and macaroni and cheese. The portions are plentiful and the food is seasoned well. I took mine to go and the fish was still crispy when I got home.
