Needed a trumpet repaired for my son. Website shows repairs on Saturday. However, the repair guy was not there and wouldn't be in until .Monday. Maybe false advertising? The guy that was there didn't know much about instruments and couldn't log in to a computer, but he took the trumpet and gave us a repair ticket. He told us that MAYBE it would be fixed on Monday, but he really didn't know. Called on Monday, but the repair guy didn't even look at it, and my son needed a trumpet for school. They swapped it out for a "comparable" one. So I go to pick it up. Pick up time later Monday. Same store guy as before. I asked him for tips on maintenance of the trumpet, and all he said was, "Ask the teacher." ~Real helpful~ In the end, they got the job done, but that's about it. Brook Mays is not what it used to be in the 1990s.
If you have the choice rent from another company, unless your school that your kids go to force you to rent from this one like ours did. They were really quick to take all of our money upfront and get our payment and bring us the tool but when the school year was over, they had no intention of reaching out to us, or even sending a courtesy letter to find out if we were going to continue in band. I guess it’s on me for assuming that they would just take the trumpet back at the end of the year but instead they just been charging my card every month and my kid hasn’t been in advanced since last year. I didn’t fully expect the full refund but they could’ve at least credited me this year or a couple months minimum just to make things right but of course they wouldn’t do that, so my advice to anybody just pay for the thing upfront because if not, you’ll buy it twice over.
Easy rental process. I was directed here from Caraway strings for a place that may have a half size violin for rental. They did and the process took less than 20 minutes to sign up and walk out instrument in hand. Quick and easy instrument rental.
great service, daughter had a solo and her saxophone needed repair,they fixed it in 20 min and didn't charge me for there service. You diffently dont see this everyday.🙏blessings i will never go anywhere else but there..thankyou.. went to guitar center and 4 employees looked at me like a fool,that they never seen this piece.
