I am based in London but seem to only return to Edinburgh for funerals these days. I saw the owner painting the shop at the time before she opened. I went and had a chat and said l will buy flowers if and when needed l will bring my business to them Two years on and sadly one of my brothers passed recently, and will be visiting Edinburgh next week. I decided to use the online service to order flowers, which was easy to use and ordered a large bunch of flowers to send to my sister-in law and my neices. Within 24 hours they arrived at my families home. I received a message saying how beautiful they were and a photograph of the flowers sent to Ferry Rd Drive. I agree how beautiful they are. Thank you for the love and care taken in the arrangement. And the fantastic, efficient serve. I was worried arbout ordering online, but l didn't need to worry. I am very pleased that l kept my promise of, if l ever needed flowers l would buy from them. It was magical watching the empty shop becoming a place of beauty. Congratulations. Once again thank you.
received 8 flowers for £30 from this shop using a gift card my friend sent from Switzerland. When I showed him what I got, he was embarrassed the bouquet was small, the flowers weren’t very fresh, and it definitely didn’t look like £30 worth. My friend chose this shop online thinking it would be a nice gift, but sadly it was very poor value. There are plenty of better flower shops in Edinburgh that offer much fresher and fuller bouquets for the same price. Be aware before ordering if you care about value for money. Reply to feedback: I do understand your explanation about the locally grown dahlias and appreciate you taking the time to reply. However, I did feel the tone of your previous message came across as a little curt, and I was hoping for a more understanding approach. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to come back to the shop, so returning the flowers isn’t possible for me. As someone local who really wants to support nearby businesses, I felt especially disappointed to receive flowers of such poor quality. I just wanted to share this feedback so you’re aware of how this experience came across from a customer’s point of view.
This is one of the best florist experiences I have ever had. I came in to get a bouquet for my partner and florist was very helpful and very knowledgeable. I picked out 3 flowers that I wanted in the bouquet and then deferred to her judgement. She managed to create this beautiful bouquet that had a dark romance type of vibe that my partner absolutely adored. They loved the bouquet and I love how well it suited them. It was a very relaxed and lovely experience and they are now my favourite florist in the city. I highly recommend them and will definitely be back.
From beginning to end, Ellen and the Broughton Street Flowers team were incredible. We received so many compliments on our wedding florals! The flowers themselves (love that they were locally sourced), the aesthetic, colors, even down to the little details like the lovely mauve colored wrap with pearls around my bouquet, everything was GORG and beyond what we could have envisioned. The communication and organization was great, and overall artistry is exceptional. Ellen and her team are artists. We are so grateful to them having made our day stunning and memorable. I cannot recommend them enough.
Ellen and the Broughton Street Flowers team were absolutely incredible from start to finish. We had so many compliments on our wedding flowers and they were even better than what we had envisioned. The communication and organisation was spot on and I would highly recommend them to anyone!
