(EDIT to add in response to their response: I never questioned the accuracy of your notes in the review? I simply stated I had a question and it was a time consuming muck around to try to have this answered due to you using 3rd party casual vets. In response to you saying “emergencies come up in our clinic and we did offer you another spot” for the ECG this does not add up due to a. The sonographer was yet another 3rd party bought in who wasn’t even on site when we turned up at our scheduled procedure time, b. We were pushed back and had to fast our dog / wait around for an entire day (not just on one occasion) and you couldn’t offer us another appointment for WEEKS. and c. You stated “she prioritizes our clinic on Mondays” well why weren’t we booked in on a Monday then considering you knew our urgent circumstances?) Avoid- if you want continuity of care and a smooth procedure/ health care process and genuine care for your pet DONT go here. TLDR: terrible communication, time wasting, lack of organisation, and lack of care for their costumers and pets. Full experience below. Bought our dog in concerned for a loose tooth. Was seen by “one of their vets” who noticed a heart arrhythmia and recommended an ECG prior to dental work. I had follow up questions about the notes of this appointment and was told “that was one of our casual vets who we call in to fill in for other vets and they probably won’t be in for the next month” so after I emailed and called for a week I then needed to wait for a call back from the practice manager, Elise, who then had to check my question with another vet and get back to me. If this wasn’t enough of a muck around we then booked in for the ECG with them (had to wait a week for them to call and schedule the appointment after I emailed reminders that I needed an appointment) with another 3rd party staff. We were given a day/ time weeks in advance for the procedure. We put the morning aside, fasted our dog as per instructions and came in at 8am on the day only to be told “the sonographer who does the ECG can’t be here until 3 due to other tests needing to be done” so we had to then go all the way back home with our dog and wait to bring him back at 3pm. I then receive a phone call at 1pm saying “the sonographer won’t be in until 5pm now and it will be an after hours procedure”. I expressed I couldn’t make this due to prior dinner plans and the fact that i did not feel comfortable with a $1500 procedure involving sedation being rushed after hours on our dog after this sonographer has obviously had a full on non stop day. Mind you when i booked the original appointment the practice manager was sure to reiterate to me “there’s a 48 hour cancellation policy” when I expressed that I am 39 weeks pregnant and it may be a possibility I cant make it due to going into labour (how’s the double standards and lack of care). When I expressed my disappointment about the lack of organisation and how it’s caused me to unnecessarily fast our dog, travel to their clinic and back 39 weeks pregnant at 7:30am in the morning and lose an entire day just waiting around for them the response i got was “this is a 3rd party and unfortunately things came up for her” despite the fact she is a diagnostic imagery professional (not exactly a routine emergency care professional) who we had booked with weeks in advance. I then get told for the FIRST time “she prioritizes our clinic on Mondays” (apparently other things don’t come up for her on a Monday by virtue of it being a Monday?) and when I ask for the next Monday I am told it will be weeks. I am then ALSO told for the first time I can “go directly to a clinic that has ECG in house and don’t pull a 3rd party in”. Really could have done with ALL of that information at the beginning, Elise, rather than being mucked around FOR WEEKS considering you knew my time sensitive personal circumstances that now means we won’t be able to get the care our dog needs for a period while we focus on having a baby and going through post partum. Will not return, terrible- do better.
Everyone is so kind and takes the best care of our cats! They always are happy to answer all our questions and spend time ensuring that everything is clear and we are comfortable. They never dismiss our concerns and will always follow up to ensure your pet has a great outcome.
My fur baby has never been a big fan of going to the vet, but I would definitely recommend this clinic! The staff are always so gentle and calm when examining him, and they make the whole experience so much easier. Every time we visit, Tofu gets his treats and leaves a happy pup. Thank you for taking such good care of him! 🐾
Brunswick central vet advocated for my cats health, squeezed in appointments when her cancer got scary, and sent me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers when she passed. Compassionate, caring and competent vets. Thank you for looking after Pickle 💖
We visited the vet on Saturday with our dog, Dusty — he was so excited! Dr. Eva was absolutely wonderful — kind, professional, and incredibly helpful. She took the time to give us valuable advice and made both Dusty and us feel completely at ease. Our big boy instantly loved her! We’re so grateful for the care we received and will definitely continue trusting this clinic with Dusty’s health.
