My wife and I came here for our first time and we were very surprised as to how nice this place is. Great decor, service was excellent and the food and cocktails were delicious. This was a Thursday early evening and they were quite busy. Even though they were busy we didn't have to wait for a seat and our food was served quickly and hot. We Will definitely will be telling our friends and we will be coming back.
I’ll admit, I came in a little hesitant after seeing some of the reviews, but my experience was fantastic! The food was authentic, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The tacos were loaded and seasoned perfectly, queso fundido with chorizo was very impressive. Steak quesadilla is massive and full of flavor. Service was warm and friendly — they checked in often without being overbearing, and everything came out fresh and hot. Every restaurant has its ups and downs, but from my visit, this spot deserves way more credit than it gets. If you’re craving delicious Mexican food, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try for yourself. 🌮🌶️🍹
Very underwhelming. 1st and foremost, let’s discuss the good… The atmosphere was very charming and colorful. The decor really is the only highlight of this restaurant. Service was great with hostess and the server was mediocre, nice but lacking non the less. We were sat at a table that had an overwhelming glare from the sun but also offered a good view of the atmosphere inside. For a Friday night at around 7pm, the restaurant was only half full. Once we received our drinks and even food we could see why. Margaritas were incredibly expensive for what they were and the food was even worse. Value is definitely missing from this restaurant. Mexican is typically in the industry, inexpensive to produce e yet the prices and portions were very small. Compare it to places like Juan’s Flaming Fajitas and you will feel like you just ordered off the kids menu. My wife had an underwhelming burrito and I had the shrimp fajitas. For the prices, when the food showed up we could not believe $30 for this baby size dish of shrimp fajitas. I had to squint just to see her burrito. Luckily my wife is fun, intelligent and very attractive so I was in a good mood and I would not let this very underwhelming experience hurt my feelings. Many of us work very hard to provide a good living and we cannot do this if we spend money on that which has little value. Cantina Tequila is just that… little value. Very cute and attractive decor but incredibly underwhelming and terrible value. If I told you how I make money and support our lifestyle, you may take my advice and choose another venue. Not so much Tequila Cantina, not so much…
So glad we finally stopped to eat here after driving by it a thousand times. The atmosphere & service were top notch and the food was pretty good too. (The burrito was awesome and they have some of the best chips & salsa ever.) Definitely a great spot to celebrate a birthday, etc.
This review is a bit tricky to write because this place has such a fun vibe. The drinks are good. The chips and salsa are good. The service is good with loud music 🎶 the background if you don’t want much table conversation or are looking to hang at the bar. The food is a bit hit and miss. Depending upon which meat you order. The quality of the cut may be gristly and fatty. I had the fillet and it was fantastic. However, my Mum ordered the steak fajitas and her beer was not chewable and basically discarded. The vegetables were good and so was the rice. The roasted corn was way over salted. Honestly, I would stick to drinking here and ordering the queso dip. The servers are friendly and high energy. The decor is so over the top and I posted some of the heritage which comes out in beautiful explicit fashion. Maybe just enjoy the good parts. Do not drink the water. It is disgusting and the odor is bad. The soda machines are also not maintained. The mixture is definitely not 💯 %. So there’s that. My review is mixed. The ladies bathroom is definitely worth a look also!!
