Amazing communication prior to the charter and on time first thing in the morning, great start! Staff are amazing and couldn’t do enough on the day, the knowledge and quality of the fishing spots are amazing. The gear used is of a good quality and reliable! The lures and availability are brilliant. All around great experience from the team! Plenty of fish caught! Thanks again, will definitely be a return visit from me.
Amy took three of us (myself and two 10 year olds) out for the morning along the Hunter River. I can't explain how great this was. Amy picked us up on the jetty, had several rods rigged up ready to go, and took us to several great spots with plenty of fish. She took time to teach the us about casting and different techniques to catch fish. She quickly replaced snagged lures, took fish off the hooks, measured them and took photos for us. We caught plenty of fish and even if we didn't, Amy is an absolute gem who had us smiling all morning. We wouldn't have minded either way. We'll be back again.
If you’re looking to teach your kids the life skill of fishing then Amy from Capns is the place to go . Kind , patient and knowledgeable keeping kids engaged and excited the entire charter . Each school holidays that rolls around Amy is always at the top of the list for activities. Our 4 th time and each time just gets better and better . Thank u Amy for being the highlight of the school holidays always 🎣
We had a great day fishing the hunter river with Amy. Amy knows the river inside out, taking us to the best spots and putting us on to the fish despite the poor conditions with heavy rainfall the week before. Amy made sure we had realistic expectations with the conditions but she puts in a lot of effort to finding fish to catch, and she was a lot of fun to chat with too. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and will definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommended for anyone who is looking to fish the hunter river
An Unforgettable Experience for the Whole Family! I took my 10 and 12-year-old boys on a half-day trip, and it exceeded all my expectations. They absolutely loved it, and it turned into an experience they’ll be talking about for years to come. Amy was fantastic—she made everything so easy, fun, and provided a safe environment for the kids to learn. Her patience and expertise really stood out. This was an incredible and memorable outing, worth every dollar. I can’t recommend Capn Charters enough for families or anyone looking for a great fishing experience!
