As a shopping experience, not too bad at all. The restaurant, on the other hand, needs improvement to say the least. Drinks supplied in bottles with a short straw which meant it stuck in the bottle. No offer of a glass. Poor menu for coeliacs and unhelpful staff in this regard. Ended up with ploughmans on gluten free bread which was actually a sandwich. Dry bread with thin cheap ham, thin piece of cheese and little else. The rest of my party had scampi and chips which was overcooked tiny pieces of scampi. Staff seemed miserable and disinterested. Not somewhere I am likely to visit again. Suffice to say I had visited some years back, when under different management, and the food was excellent with great gluten free choices. Shame to see this deterioration.
The sheer amount of variety and the design of the place is fantastic, really is a dying breed of shop you can't find easily anymore. The only problem is the staff range between being incredibly helpful and friendly to utterly miserable and unapproachable - the general decency and tact of customer service isn't there. I've seen coroners happier at work than some of the staff here. Especially in the food/cafe area. Highly recommend for a day out, but just be sure to pack some misery-repellent spray.
A fantastic place for shopping with plenty of plants and lovely flowers 🌹🌸 as well as different types of home decorations, tools, clothings, food and festive items. The restaurant is also very attractive.
Love this garden centre! My fav road trip! Garden centre is big and has everything you could ask for and more! Cafe is so clean and food/drink is delicious! Christmas evening was definitely worth the trip!!
I visited recently on my return way to England and the selection of plants was impressive. Based on number of reviews I would like to visit and buy some more in future.
