Had ghost peppers burger from their lunch truck at SCVM hospital and it was awesome!! Waited for 30mins, because he forgot my order, but the burger was so good i gave 5 stars.
This is a picture of the fries that the chicken sandwich was sitting on, I could not wait to dive in and the people here are some of the friendliest you’ll ever meet. If you go level 5 on the spice it will not disappoint, that baby kicks and I have a high tolerance. 5 out of 5, totally recommend, Thank you to Aiden , and manny for the best service ever. I was at Off the Grid in Fort Mason (SF) and I ordered the Angry Bird sandwich with no spice level for $15 pre-tax, which is a tad expensive to me. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy and was seasoned okay. The bread had a nice subtle chew. I personally felt like the sandwich was asking for more sauce. Not a mindblowing sandwich if you're toning down on the heat level, but it was a sandwich worth trying once.
Could be a little bit on the pricey side, but completely worth it! This has been my favorite chicken sandwich so far! I’ve ordered the Nashville fire sandwich. The buns were fresh and soft. The chicken was cooked to perfection.! And an excellent combination between crisp and juiciness. Flavors are strong. I’d give you heads up that it could get really spicy. Start with mild and build your way up. Level to is a perfect place for myself and I love spicy foods. Level three is torture, don’t start there. Enjoy!
Nashville Hot chicken sandwiches is still trending in the Bay Area and I was finally able to try a very popular food truck in the South Bay @ChicknBros.SJ. They offer four different sandwiches and along with two different types of tenders and sides. They really allow you to customize your sandwich to your heart's desire. They have options from the ingredients in the sandwich to how you want your sauces on the buns or on the side. I got the Angry Bird deluxe, which is a Beer battered fried chicken, orange spicy adobo aioli sauce (Bro Sauce), white sweet and tangy sauce (Chick Sauce), purple cabbage, onion, pickles, local honey, brioche bun with level one spiciness, Cayenne. They offer five different levels of spiciness. I have glad I choose level one because I could handle it and it was perfect for my tasting. If you are adventurous, level three or above would be great for you. I love how crispy and tender the chicken was. The purple cabbage along with onions and pickles added so much depth to the sandwich. This is first place that I have been to that puts honey on the chicken, which was good and unique. The bread was soft and toasted, which was a perfect complement to the sandwich. What impressed me the most was the ordering system, which allowed you to order in advance and and set your pick up time based on availability. Once you get to the truck, it will only take about ten minutes to make. At one point, people would wait an hour plus for these sandwiches. They are located in front of a Hype Beast shoe store, Kickz, so you can check them out while you wait. I really enjoyed this sandwich and can not wait to come back to try the tenders. @ChicknBros.SJ Pro tip: Don't park in the parking lot, park on Steven Creek to leave easily.
