Needed to get a car previously registered in NSW a roadworthy cert in the ACT to get it registered. Initially communication was good, was quoted $1,900 for all repairs necessary and which was a fair price. I made sure to tell them not to start any repairs until they were certain they could get it roadworthy. Days later was told there would be delays as parts needed to come from out of state - no issue from me. Upon picking up the car I was told the cost was ~$2,600. I did not consent to any additional cost nor was informed of any. I stood my ground, and eventually agreed to $2,000 because they made me feel bad, so I rounded up. Advice for customers: make sure you get the agreement in writing - if they say it's a 'quote', not an 'estimate', they have to tell you if it will cost more before starting work. Stand up for yourself if they don't and they will fold.
I would highly recommend these guys. After they replaced my shocks in a yearly service, one of which had no give and was leaking. A new sound appeared, they took the car in for 3 days and eventually identified that a previous dealer had put the wrong engine mount in for my car. They replaced it with the right one and charged me for parts and only 1.5 days labour. They gave me no run arounds, gave everything to me factually and straight (as I also researched the mount and went and got the old records from the dealer that put the wrong engine mount in). I will be going back to them in the future. They take their job seriously and don't want to give you back your car unfixed/partially fixed.
Asked for an appointment 2 days prior and got it.Got our pink slip done and had to change the front tie rods and tires. He name to do that in the day and we got a good price for everything. I recommend
I am travelling along the East Coast from WA. An issue arose with my Dmax. CCCB were able to fit me in at 2 days notice for a service. This alerted us to a few extra issues. Not all could be resolved during the time allocated. However problems that had to be completed to allow us to continue our journey were completed even though they need a little extra time from their staff. I even received a call while travelling to make sure all was well. I can highly recommend CCCB to resolve your car issues and regular service etc.
I’ve been a customer of city car care for 7 years and always have had great service. I took my car in today for a 200k service. I was stressed because I thought I had an expensive problem to fix. However, the manager patiently talked me through what needed to be done, reassured me the issue wasn’t what I had thought, put my car through a full point check and service, cleaned my car for me. I’m absolutely delighted with the professionalism and care I received today, my car runs like a dream again. Thanks CCC team for making my day!
