If you’re looking for a wine shop that feels like a secret you almost don’t want to share …. Color De Vino is it. Perfectly tucked away in a cozy spot, further down on Whyte Ave, this boutique shop is equal parts charming, knowledgeable, and dangerously good at convincing you to “just try one more bottle.” Their selection is next level, it’s like they’ve personally scouted every vineyard from Tuscany to Tasmania and handpicked the bottles that will make you say, “Wow, why haven’t I been drinking this my whole life?” You won’t find the same cookie-cutter shelves here, every wine seems to have a story, and the staff are absolute pros at telling it, or they bring the right people in. Speaking of the staff, they might be half sommelier, half storyteller, and somehow 100% approachable. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve walked in for “just a bottle” and ended up in a 20-minute conversation about volcanic soil, Austrian grapes, or some small-batch producer they just brought in. Every chat feels like a mini wine adventure. Their tasting events are next level. Equal parts educational and social, they’re the kind of nights that remind you how fun it is to learn and sip at the same time. In short: Color De Vino isn’t just a wine shop. It’s an experience. A dangerously delightful one that keeps me coming back, purely for “research,” of course. 🍷
One of the best local wine shops in the city. Great selection and staff. I purchased the wine club 6 month package for my husband for his bday and loved every wine! Meticulously picked with notes on flavour and what to enjoy with, delivered consistently. Will be doing again!
