I’ve been training with Markell for about a year, and I can’t recommend him enough! We started working together while I was dealing with a shoulder injury and he made sure my training complemented the rehab with my physical therapist. He was thoughtful and intentional about tailoring my workouts to support that process. He’s helped me build strength by focusing on the right intensity and training in a way that works with my body. Addressing strength imbalances has reduced my daily pain, improved my recovery, and made it easier to stay active. I feel healthier overall and much more capable. Markell checks in on how I’m feeling physically and mentally so we can make adjustments as needed. He also pays close attention to form so I can avoid injuries and get the most out of each session. On top of it all, he’s a genuinely kind and understanding person.
I've been training with AJ at Core Results in Raleigh for a few weeks, focusing on targeted exercises to reduce body fat, and it's going incredibly well. I’ve been working with AJ at Core Results for about 7 months and in addition to helping me get in better shape, he’s helped me have more confidence at the gym. I wasn’t comfortable at the gym before, but AJ has taught me a lot about technique and how to select exercises to challenge my body. He always has helpful tips when I ask questions. Core Results is fantastic. I'm a lifelong gym-goer, but Core Results is my first time working with a personal trainer. My trainer -- Markell -- has been dialed in since Day One, starting with an assessment regarding my fitness goals. Markell is such a pro at knowing when to push and when to ease up a bit, and always keeps things interesting with exercises that I would never have known about on my own. His knowledge behind why we're doing what we're doing in the gym is impressive, as well. Every session is a little bit different, but we're always moving forward and the progress over the last few months has been awesome. You know Core Results is great because they're the only ones who have gotten my calves to grow, despite my many solo efforts over the years. 10/10 recommend. My wife is also a Core Results client, and is just as satisfied as I am (in fact, she's the one who recommended the gym to me); we have very different fitness goals, but Core Results has been instrumental in helping us both.
I've been training with Corey at Core Results for about 18 months, and the results have been worth every penny! Plus, he’s fun to work with. I feel stronger and healthier than I have in years, including being able to wakeboard again after 5+ years of not being able to because of a bad back and shoulder. Corey’s expertise in strength training and being cognizant of my past sports injuries shines through; he switches my program every 4 weeks, tracks my progress, and adapts my plan to address my old injuries.
