Last December I contacted Heidi Dehnel one of the owners at Core Strength&Performance. I expressed interest in starting my fitness journey and powerlifting and from that ONE conversation I made a decision that changed my life. She invited me to the annual Christmas lift off at the gym and I got to see the amazing atmosphere and hear other members tell me their personal experiences. I was sold! I took a free class the next week with the other owner, Deven Dehnel. Here I am a year later successfully completing in my first powerlifting competition. I’ve learned lots of new skills and made connections with some of the kindest folks. Coach Heidi, Deven, Natalie and Nick thank you for everything! Core strength and Performance is awesome! Their small group classes are just right to get a sense of community, but also allow you to get corrections and cueing throughout the workout! And of course all their instructors are great with attention to detail and ability to modify workouts as needed. A great place if your just starting out lifting or a seasoned pro looking for an expert set of eyes to take it up a notch!

All of the coaches are so positive and encouraging and the members are as well. If you are looking for a strength training gym where you can grow and succeed, this is place for you!
Core strength is the Best workout ever! Strength, cardio, and whole body!! I have been at this gym for more than five years and am now 60 years old - research shows for females especially as they age nothing is better for bone density and overall aging than strength training. The trainers here are encouraging, challenging but always providing the safest and best ways to train your individual body. The owners Heidi and Deven even coached us from our homes through Zoom during Covid - they are so committed and loyal to their clients. Highly recommend you give it a try.
