I have been taking classes with both Tracey and Santino at Creative Photography workshops for about 7 years. I knew nothing when I started and have grown into a credible photographer due to their teaching skills and patience. They have created a supportive environment that encourages learning at all levels. If you are looking to take photography classes, this is the place to go. It is the best.
Santino and Tracey are terrific teachers and very accomplished photographers. I have studied with them for eight years and progressed from absolute newbie to an advanced level. As a result I really love photographing, feel comfortable in different environments from landscape photography to street, to portrait and editorial. The core of the workshop is the weekly critique of our work; it is essential and really helps you to become a much better photographer. If you want to learn what makes a great photograph and how to do it, this is the workshop for you. We are all serious about our work but also have a great deal of fun.
I have taken classes with Tracey and Santino for many years now. They are great and knowledgable teachers with years of practice experience. They are great to learn from if you are just learning about photography for the first time or if you have been doing it for years. They teach not only the basics but how to look at images and analyze them and why they do or don't work. I can't recommend enough!
I am an avid advanced amateur photographer - for over 70 years. After a long time spent with larger format and reflex cameras I have settled on the use of a 35mm Leica rangefinder. I have been a paying attendee to numerous workshops and classes locally and away. They have been lead by both local and world noted photogrphers. While interesting and fun, they have not moved me to really change. In the last 30 years, I have regularly participated in Tracey's classes on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. To my amazemnt, Tracey has regularly and without fail been able to be provide helpful, positive and unique critique to mine and fellow students work. She has been inspiational and provides general and specific thoughts on how to proceed with a current project or vague photographic concept. She is also able to leave you alone and let you ponder and find a way forward that suites your personal style of working. In summary. Tracey and Creative Photography Workshops have played a crucial role in my photographic development.
