My husband and I booked a 3-hr morning with Discovery Whale Watch and had the best time! Our tour had a rocky start with another guest having a medical scare before boarding, but the Discovery team handled it exceptionally! Isaiah was a great host, providing info on the local area and the animals. He was a great distraction from the waves and made sure everyone had the best time. Highly recommend a more intimate boat experience with Discovery than the other commercial large boats.
Fishing trip was super fun, captain and deckhand of ship were incredible and super helpful. My first time on a fishing boat and definitely had a great first experience. Definitely will be going again in the near future.
The tour was absolutely amazing! We saw dolphins, sea lions and humpback whales on our trip! The guides were amazing! Our main guide Isaiah was awesome! He was extremely informative throughout the trip and answered many questions from our group! We were able to see a whale breach for the first time!!! Our kids had a blast and we will definitely be going back in the future.
Isaiah and Matt were fantastic guides. Funny, educational and helpful. Smaller boat with maybe only a dozen passengers. Very conformable, plenty of space, good quality sound system so we could easily understand what Isaiah said. We saw more than a dozen humpbacks, tons of different kinds of dolphins, birds and sea lions.
It was a great experience, going out there with Discovery. They managed to find Orcas, dolphins and Humpbacks, and it was really exciting. Very nice, knowledgeable and cooperative staff. Thank you Alfredo!!! The ride itself was also a lot of fun. There were nice waves and the kids had a lot of fun. They use smaller boats I think, and for us it was better - quieter and you could feel the ride. They also have complementary coffee and hot chocolate onboard, which was great at first when it got cold. Just make dure you dress in layers.
