Needed a space to regroup with colleagues while traveling for work and was asked to join at Dollop Shop Cafe and Bakery. Unbeknownst to me, this local but cute and quaint coffee shop was a breath of fresh air away from the busyness of the workday. My colleagues ordered a London Fog Tea, Everything Bagel Danish, and Black Currant Macarons while I ordered an iced sparkling Lavender Lemonade.
I'm way over due in posting a review for this place! I get all of my cakes here. Clare is incredible when it comes to design and they are all DELICIOUS. She also is great at helping pick flavor combinations! The most recent was a cute pre-K graduation cake, I sent some pics including a signature and Clare and her team nailed it yet again!
Stopped by The Dollop Shop while visiting from out of town, and it was such a delightful find! The first thing that caught my eye was a sign outside advertising lavender scones—one of my absolute favorite flavors and pastries combined. Naturally, I had to try one, and it did not disappoint! Light, fragrant, and perfectly balanced without that soapy aftertaste some lavender treats can have. If you love lavender, this is a must-try. I also picked up an Everything Bagel Danish, which was a fun and delicious surprise. The inside had the delicate, flaky layers of a croissant, while the topping gave it a crispy, savory finish. Such a unique twist on a classic flavor! There is even an option to have it warmed up! Beyond the amazing pastries, the shop itself is absolutely adorable. The interior design is exactly my kind of aesthetic—cozy, stylish, and thoughtfully put together. It’s the kind of place I’d love to have in my own town, perfect for grabbing a treat and getting some work done. Plus, there are plenty of outlets, making it a great spot for anyone looking for a charming workspace. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area—delicious pastries and a beautiful space to enjoy them!
Claire and the entire Dollop Shop team are incredible. We've ordered two birthday cakes from them and with just a rough idea of what we wanted, Claire pulled through and created the most perfect, creative, and delicious cakes!! Everything at the shop is incredible - I've never had anything that didn't make me say "this is the best thing I've ever tasted". The staff are friendly and helpful! I cannot recommend Dollop Shop enough - undoubtedly the best bakery in Toledo.
