Our experience here was great! Our server Jade ensured we were never left waiting for anything. The food was also very delicious and offered great pricing during happy hour. If you’re looking to eat some delicious authentic Japanese cuisine and drinks, this is the place for you!
Best sushi place in Columbus. Try something new, and you won't be disappointed. Get the house salad (best ginger dressing ever over fresh greens)! Try the sushi panini for something new. All the rolls are fresh and amazing. Zacharia is awesome, but the whole staff is friendly and fast. I've even brought in friends and family that don't like sushi, and they've loved their non-sushi orders. The loaded fries look great, but I always get sushi. Go to Domo, now.
My partner and I stopped by DOMO in the Short North for a midweek date and lucked out by arriving early enough to catch their happy hour menu—and let me tell you, it was a win. We started with the crispy rice and the sushi paninis with crab. Both appetizers were fantastic—easily the most generous portions I’ve ever seen for a happy hour offering. Honestly, we could’ve split just those two and called it dinner. The crispy rice was fried to crunchy perfection, and both dishes were elevated by the zesty sauces that brought each bite together. It’s rare that apps outshine the rest of the meal, but in this case, they absolutely stole the show. We also ordered four sushi rolls off the happy hour menu: California, Philly, spicy tuna, and a specialty roll (the name escapes me). They were good, fresh, and well-prepared—but compared to those appetizers, they felt more like a bonus than a highlight. Our server was fantastic—attentive without being overbearing. We never had to wait for a drink refill, the timing of each course was spot on, and we felt genuinely well taken care of from start to finish. It made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you’re headed to DOMO, don’t sleep on the happy hour—especially those appetizers. I’d go back just for the crispy rice.
I have been expecting this Japanese restaurant for a long time because Chase credit cards always provide its offer, and their food did not disappoint me. I came here around 6pm. I was lucky to find a seat since there were few seats inside. It is better to make a reservation. The room was a little small but decorated well. Servers and bartenders were really friendly. WiFi was fast. I ordered their salmon bento box. Its size was big with a few things. It could be enough for two people. The salad and miso soup tasted decent. I really like the Japanese dressing. The salmon was amazing with decent teriyaki sauce. I seldom order salmon at restaurants, but their grilled salmon was distinctive. Potato salad, spicy pickle slices, and tempura were also delicious. The Cali rolls were mediocre and bland, because everything else was much more delicious. In addition, their drinks looked fancy in cute cups.
I’ve eaten a lot of sushi and this is by far my favorite. I haven’t got to have sushi in Japan yet so, it’s my favorite right now. The quality of the fish was astounding. I got the scallop and blue fin sashimi. My mind was blown because they offer REAL wasabi with the sashimi. The scallop just melted in my mouth. The texture on the tuna was divine. I also got the sunrise roll, which was equally amazing. The ginger salad was refreshing, and the ginger dressing was unique yet delicious. The crab Rangoon was delectable, they make it in house with real crab. I would’ve liked more crab or less cream cheese but it didn’t really matter. The only bad part was not having enough space in my tummy to finish the crab rangoon. The only weird part was I wanted a cup of water to go and they didn’t have to go cups so they have to give it to you in a takeout bowl 🤣.
