Very happy with my service from Megan. She was easy to talk to, listened to my needs, and gave me the exact cut and color I asked for. I will definitely book my next appt with her. The salon is bright and clean and the rest of the staff was friendly and welcoming, as well. Overall a great experience.

Shelby was an absolute God send of a hairstylists!! From the start she listened patiently to what I was wanting or what I thought I wanted. Lol I was going from long hair to above the shoulders short hair. She knew exactly how to handle my crazy 3 types of hair textures; curly, wavy , straight. She gave me a haircut i was extremely proud of. I give her 10⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 !!

I had come in as a first time guest, for haircut and highlight, and was placed with Megan for that service. She is a sweetheart of a human being and she made me feel welcome and relaxed. She did a cut and highlight, and paid attention with care as she worked. She spent a LOT of time with me, and asked questions of me to ensure she was staying on track with what I wanted. They offered hot tea, and other beverages for me when I entered, and Megan made sure I had water as well. I realized after living with my new hair for a couple of days, that it needed a couple of minor tweaks. They got me in asap for that, with such a positive attitude! Instead of "tweaks", Megan literally spent 2 more hours with me, discussing and listening to my thoughts. She (again) gave me luxury service, with extra highlights, a conditioning treatment, a scalp massage, and tweaked the haircut...to perfection. She made me feel like it was no trouble for her, and that she was happy I chose to come back in. I'm honestly humbled by her graciousness and kindness towards me in this matter. Thank you sweet Megan! 😊

When I moved to Des Moines I was so nervous to find a new hairstylist but dsm salon hit it out of the park from day one. Everyone is so nice and accommodating, it has a comfortable but still professional/clean atmosphere. I took the hair quiz they offer and it was wonderful. Lexi truly understands my hair type and textures, and she’s a great sounding board for different ideas/styles I wanna try on my hair. I have a bob which means it’s harder to disguise mess up’s but Lexi is so particular and careful my hair has never looked cleaner/sleeker!

I saw Shelby for the first time this week for a blowout, and after leaving her chair, I knew I had to book a haircut with her. I came back the same week, and she did such a great job! She thinned out and textured my thick hair beautifully and took extra time to show me tips on how to wear it natural and wavy. Aside from the amazing blowout and haircut, two things really stood out: she didn’t pressure me to buy products, and when I mentioned that I usually only get my hair cut 2–3 times a year, she didn’t try to talk me into coming more often. Shelby was professional, kind, and so easy to talk to — I’m so glad I found her!
