Beautiful grocery store! It definitely lives up to the hype, my expectations were exceeded. Everything is top quality, they have a delicious hot bar perfect for lunch as well as excellent coffee and lattes. I’m so happy I finally came to Erewhon! And was lucky to have visited this flagship location in the Melrose Ave / Beverly Hills area.
Kale chips taste good but was pretty salty, the spicy ones are even saltier. Strawberry glaze smoothie was pretty sweet and very satiating. Yoghurt with chia and berries had a strong coconut taste to it, but overall still enjoyable and satiating.
For the last couple of years, I have desperately wanted to visit an Erewhon as my brain thinks of it as a tourist destination for some reason. It is exactly as you would expect. Very clean, very aesthetically pleasing, but also rather expensive. Their reusable tote bags for instance start at $30. It gives even fancier Whole Foods. Would I come back here to do my weekly shopping? Absolutely not. Would I come back here for small impulse buys and prepared meals? Absolutely.
There's so much hype about this place in LA - celebrities, influencers, even Lyft and Uber drivers rave that this is the must-go place. We were told that this one in particular is the flagship store. As an Aussie - we liked it but there's so much of this down under that it wasn't anything overly special in comparison BUT for someone living in LA - completely understand the hype because there really isn't anything like it so totally get the excitement. So get why everyone raves about it. Food is a little on the pricey side but a lot of variety, options and it tasted nice. A lot of juice tonics etc. - the variety was amazing. That actually exceeded anything down in Oz. We tried the Hailey Bieber juice - it too was really good. Worth it even if it was extravagant for a juice. The service was excellent. Definitely worth visiting!
