This place is great, a few different actual OPHTHALMOLOGISTS (MDs) on staff and great optometrist and techs. For what looks old school outside they fit you in ASAP even for a new patient with blurry vision. No one else called me back but them.
A 10 minute basic eye exam took 1 hr and 20 min from my appointment time. They have signs up that say something along the lines of “your appointment time is not the time you will be seen. it’s the time you’ll be checked in.” I did NOT assume that meant about an hour of just waiting. The receptionists and the assistant who initially took me back were all insanely nice people. The doctor himself though was very friendly, but I, personally, was a little uncomfortable. I am averse to touch from people I don’t know (unless it pertains to the medical exam), and he grabbed my shoulders to show me to someone. Also, told me to be “good”. It was odd. I know it was all good intentions, but this is NOT the doctor or office for me.
Don't go if your short on time, and consider that you might need two freekin hours just to get an eye glasses prescription. Scheduled at this clinic an appointment, they texted 20 minutes before to say they had to reschedule or push it by 20 minutes. I arrived on time, i get my eye prescription exam and then they gave me eye dialation drops and told me to wait, after 35 min I asked what is happening, they said the doctor needs another 20 minutes. I asked if I can get my prescription and go. They said no. I asked if they can cancel this appointment so i can schedule somewhere else with my insurance. They said no. So I was stuck for 90minutes for a new prescription. The doctor and receptionists were nice though.
I cannot recommend Dr. Deane enough. She is skilled, efficient, and has great attention to detail. She notices things about my eyes that other doctors have either overlooked or just not mentioned. I feel very safe with my vision in her capable hands! The office staff is also excellent, I am always seen at my appointment time and they are always friendly and helpful. I can also recommend the optical shop; I bought my latest frames from the Eye Medical Clinic, and over a year later they still look great! I would have never picked these frames for myself without their help.
Starting with the staff, everyone is extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. They were very helpful and diligent in getting my mother to see Dr. Sullivan asap since her condition was serious. Dr. Christina Dean is an amazing doctor and a wonderful person. She saw my mother on short notice and was able to alleviate some of my mother’s pain until her official appointment with Dr. Sullivan. Dr. Sullivan is awesome. He’s knowledgeable and very humble. He listened to us and was able to answer all our questions. And when he saw that my mother’s condition was out of his scope, he was modest enough to say so and he personally contacted another doctor for a rushed referral. He also asked me to follow up and call him the next day in case I don’t hear from the other doctor. Everyone in that clinic is very professional and awesome. But most importantly they are honest and humane. Traits that are unfortunately very hard to find in today’s physicians. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone.
