I can't believe I haven't left a review for Wayne here yet. He is world class, a master of his craft - he is truly passionate about car restoration. It shows in his absolute attention to detail, deep knowledge of care techniques and tools for cars, and radiant attitude. I was fortunate to come across Fog City Detail in 2022 and haven't gone anywhere else since. I drive a 1999 Suzuki Vitara, a car I have had since I was 15 years old, which I drove to Alaska and back, and up and down and across the US, and to every trailhead and campsite in California. My beloved car wouldn't still be on the road today without Wayne. He transforms my car every time I bring it in, making it look and feel better than new with his magic (read: extremely dedicated hard work). Most recently, I spent a week in Big Sur over new year's during the downpours, hiking every day and my suzuki got flooded with rain water and mud, which then stagnate for a week until I got home. The first thing I did was call Wayne for help, and he worked on my Suzuki from 9:30 AM to 7 pm to save it. I teared up with joy when picking it up, I'm beyond grateful for Wayne's dedication. Thank you Wayne, you are a gift to the world and to us car lovers. Please keep practicing your craft for a long long time. Wayne is so friendly, explains everything clearly, and did an incredible job on my never-before-detailed 2012 car. My headlights look brand new and some stickers I've been hating are gone. I love to support a small neighbor business. Thank you, Wayne!
Wayne went above and beyond doing an INCREDIBLE job removing the mold situation from my Honda CRV, and making my whole car feel spic and span!!! Wow. For almost two years i had to let my car sit while I was away, and i came back to mold/smell. It was BAD. Wayne successfully eradicated the mold and the smell - and he was so thoughtful in addressing the situation. Locating the source of the mold and making recommendations on things i can do to prevent it from coming back. He not only shampooed/vaccumed/etc etc, but also did an O2 treatment for the smell. His shop is impeccably clean and well-organized. You can tell he takes pride in it. I should mention that this is a camping car that I've taken cross country about 10 times, taken to Burning Man 9 times, taken to countless campgrounds and through every landscape imaginable. I have never in 20 years gotten my car detailed and have to sheepishly admit that in those two decades I've only done the occasional vaccum inside, eek. So there was a LOT of build up dirt, grime, playa dust, etc. He took care of it ALL!!!!! It feels amazing in there. Most importantly, the mold smell is GONE!!! I'd also like to add that Wayne was incredibly communicative, and just an all around friendly and kind person. It's so nice to support a small business, especially one where you're treated like a real human and met with a smile. The sort of old school situation where next time I overhear someone looking to get their car detailed I'll enthusiastically offer "hey i know a guy!!" I'm extremely grateful that I found Fog City Detail!!
I had a great experience with Wayne from Fog City. This was my mini cooper’s first internal detailing since I bought it ten years ago. They got it scrupulously clean. Got that musty smell out. Wayne is meticulous by nature. (He is also very friendly.) Highly recommend.
Wayne did an exterior/interior detailing for my 2017 Subaru Outback (purchased used recently). From start to finish, the service and results were exceptional and beyond expectations. Wayne was professional and explained to me what I could expect in advance and listened to my requests. Several hours later, I have a car that feels brand new. The seats are brighter, not a crumb or speck of dust in sight, and the outside shined. Friends and family were equally shocked at the superior results. Would recommend 100%.
