Our son has been taking guitar lessons with Forest since early 2019, and we could not be happier. Forest is more than a teacher - he is a supportive mentor who is fully invested in helping his students retain the joy of music throughout their learning process. As a direct result, our 12 yo is now part of a jazz band in his middle school and considers music education [almost] as enjoyable as video games.
Forest is fantastic. He's extremely patient and pushes my little guy to be the best guitar player he can be, in his own time. Forest has a great musical ear and is a very talented musician, which gives my son a great role model to look up to. He picks music that Ax (my little guy) is excited to learn to play, and challenges him to improve. We've never had a problem communicating with him, and have never once had a billing issue. He's extremely responsible, mature and encouraging. We absolutely appreciate his investment into Ax, and have always highly recommend him as a teacher to our friends. My son always says "he's the best teacher I have ever had".
I have been taking guitar lessons with Forest for over a year and as a result my playing and knowledge have greatly improved. There isn't a question or a playing style that Forest isn't familiar with. He is very motivating, especially at those times when it's easy to get frustrated as a new guitar player. I am thankful that I met Forest and more than grateful for being able to take lessons from such a knowledgeable and talented musician. I only wish I would have started taking lessons from Forest sooner.
