Our wedding will go down in history—not just because it was the most important day of our lives, but also because it happened during the heaviest rain Melbourne had seen in 20 years. And through every dramatic cloudburst and soggy shoe, one person stood out as our absolute rock: Gee from Gee What A Wedding. Gee had her work cut out for her! I always have the best of luck with things… not!!! And when the universe was throwing us lemons, Gee and her team were there swatting them away from us! We had changed the venue, we had 20 guests pull out week of the wedding, we had 45 overseas guests to transport from around Melbourne out of 350, my sister was stung by a bee as she walked into church, the rain was so heavy the venue roof leaked and we had to shut off some of the chandeliers, no detail was missed, and the vibe was exactly what we had dreamed of! Every guest even felt the love from Gee and her team! Gee didn’t just manage the day—she masterminded a miracle. From the very beginning, her warmth, professionalism, and infectious energy made the entire planning process feel exciting rather than stressful. But it was on the day itself that she truly shined. With torrential rain threatening every detail, Gee handled it all with calm confidence, adapting on the fly and keeping everyone smiling. Our ceremony felt magical, not muddled, and guests are still raving about how smoothly everything went. She new exactly how to deliver on our request to get people on the dance floor and our guests still talk about how nice it was to be able to dance and socialize from get go without taking away from those special moments throughout the night. We stayed present, happy, and dry (enough!), because Gee had every contingency covered—even ones we hadn’t imagined. Gee and her team were so fantastic to work with, that both my sister and friend ended up booking her for their wedding 12 months later! If you’re looking for a wedding planner who’s as skilled under pressure as she is kind, creative, and endlessly dedicated—Gee is the one. We can’t imagine our day without her. If you are sitting on the fence as we all do with these things, wondering if you shouldn’t or should hire a planner, the best advice I could give after our experience is take the leap and give Gee a call now! You won’t regret it!
