My partner and I had a tour and trial here today and really enjoyed it! Huge facilities with ample amount of classes available, weight machines and an incredibly spacious and kitted out functional room too. Staff were so friendly and supportive too ❤️
Attempted to sign-up for Trial. Numerous emails & SMS messages and 5-10 minute phone call held after registering online. Attended Cooks Hill Gym to use Trial, One Look at me and Trial was advise as not illegible. DISCRIMINATED DUE TO APPEARANCE. Advised illegibility not an issue for full membership, which in essence implies extortion. "Unless you pay us money and make a commitment to pay us more money, we don't want to know you." Requested callback from Manager/Owner, no response. Whilst each Gym operates as a Franchise, poor experience from this Gym which reflects more poorly on the brand. DISCRIMINATION. EXTORTION. OBVIOUSLY MAKING TOO MUCH MONEY THEY DON'T NEED/WANT MORE CUSTOMERS.
Ive rung twice now wanting to join and on both occasions the phone rang off. Pretty sure I called during office hours. No offer to call back....nothing. Maybe they dont want new members
Was excited to try this place and everything looked ok during the tour but the past couple weeks working out here I’ve noticed a lot of problems No gym etiquette, like at all. People absolutely slamming weights, leaving attachments, weights, equipment everywhere, I find myself cleaning up after people more than gym staff do. I often spend about 15 minutes each session trying to find the attachment I need, which has either been left on the floor well away from the area it’s used in or has completely disappeared from a couple days ago and hasn’t been seen since. Also being almost run into by people walking through the cable section Willy nilly, the amount of times I’ve almost elbowed or kicked someone is insane. Another issue is the lack of actually used machines. They often only have 1-2 of the most used machines and like 5 of the same machine I’ve never seen anyone use. I’m now stuck in a 12 month contract so I guess I’ll still be going here. Overall not worth the money and the hype it receives.
