Angell did a fantastic job on my hair! She was very thorough during the consultation and discussed all the different options to achieve my hair goals. She was so sweet and I can’t wait to have my hair done by her again!! :)
Destiny is such a pleasure! Her absolute professionalism and warm comforting presence makes the whole experience comfortable. Destiny's room is clean and inviting and is more like visiting a friend than getting a service. I would highly recommend Destiny and will keep coming back! I have found my forever esthetician!!!!
Kayla did a fabulous job on my hair! I needed a root touch up and then wanted a trim with layers to give my hair lift and an easy natural curl. She was very meticulous with every step and gave me the perfect style. I recommend this relatively new stylist to the salon.
The owner will not reimburse you if a stylist ruins your hair. She lied about the situation and about me in her reply. She will also ban you from the salon if you complain. Colleen destroyed my hair in less than a few minutes ( 412 people have seen this review on Google) after I'd been growing it out for over a year and wanted it long. She also did not give me the normal like golden blonde color highlights, I normally get it to look more ash color Two years before the April 2 haircut disaster, Aveda’s Damage Remedy product caused severe dryness and breakage in my hair. I used it exactly as instructed—never once warned by your team that it could be overused or cause damage. I had to cut my hair off then, too. That loss was never addressed. I documented that as well in my original materials. But I gave Aveda another chance. I remained loyal. After that, I nurtured my hair back to life, letting it grow—finally—toward shoulder length. That’s what made the April haircut all the more traumatic. I had worked hard to get my hair long again. I had no intention of cutting it short. Colleen offered to adjust a tiny 1/8 inch edge she pointed out. Instead, she rapidly and without consent cut large chunks from both upper sides of my crown. The damage was immediate, obvious, and irreparable. I’ve had to wear a hat ever since—and worse, I’ve had to cut my hair short again just to reach and layer around the uneven chunks. A complete reversal of what I had worked so hard toward. Before I went to Colleen, I had been going to a wonderful stylist named Lexi who recommended Colleen. I had good rapport with both of them and always gave a 20% tip. After sending a professional, six-page letter—along with documentation and photos—to Aveda’s corporate office, Estée Lauder, and others, they reviewed it and did not offer any accountability for her behavior or for the salon. What followed was worse: the Henderson salon not only refused to take responsibility, they barred me from returning—essentially punishing me for respectfully speaking up. I’ve been an Aveda customer for over 30 years. I’ve had at least 100 visits during that time, getting my hair professionally colored every six weeks. I’ve spent well over $50,000, remained loyal to the Aveda brand, and referred countless others. When this happened, I didn’t lash out. I didn’t post angry reviews or make emotional public statements. Instead, I spent more than 15 hours gathering photos, writing a detailed letter, and mailing certified packets—at my own expense. That included over $50 in postage and printing, as well as the time, energy, and emotional toll. The stress even affected my health. And in return? A corporate deflection—and permanent exclusion from a salon I once trusted. I may never understand why she did something so hurtful to me and my hair, but at the very least, accountability for her actions and how this was handled would be appropriate.
I received a text from the salon to share my experience, so here it is! My root touch-up turned out fine, but I have to be honest this wasn’t the experience I expected from a salon like this. My stylist ( Amy )mentioned right away that she didn’t have time to blow dry my hair, which made me feel like she didn’t really want to do my service. When I booked, I was told the appointment was scheduled for two hours and included a blow dry, so that was confusing. I was also left alone for quite a while during processing, and there wasn’t much conversation unless I initiated it. She did end up drying my hair at the end, & I left a good tip but overall the experience just felt awkward and not as welcoming as I’d hoped.
