Received a mailer at my home and decided to give GIC a shot, their oil change special was the same cost as me doing it myself so why not. Called in the afternoon and made the appointment for the next day, Christina was very helpful over the phone and in person when I arrived at 8am. She explained to me the services that I was getting and walked me through the vehicle inspection options (since my car is newer and my warranty expired I figured why not get some professional eyes on it). The inspection report was thorough and it helped give me piece of mind knowing my car was in good condition. I dropped the car off at 8am and received the pickup text at 10:30! Great overall experience, highly recommended shop and I will be bringing my car back when needed.

My car battery died and began smoking when I jumpstarted it, brought it here and they took care of it in 2 days! They even helped me get a cheaper rate on a rental across the street since I would need to get to work the rest of the week. They're very detailed about their process and I got my car back quicker than expected! Thank you to Braxton, Helen, and everyone else here on the team!!

This is my third or fourth time here. The staff is super friendly, transparent, and honest. They will show you detailed pictures and explain everything clearly before they start any work. They are honest about what needs to be to be done immediately and what can wait and how long. Definitely recommend!

I’m from out of town and my oil change light came on. I gave GIC a call and they were able to take me as a walk in. They finished my car earlier than the quoted time, took the effort to point out things that should be fixed soon, but also didn’t put a lot of pressure on me to get it done right then and there. They were kind enough to put notes in my invoice so I can deal with it when I get home with my go-to car service place. They seemed to care more about my safety than making a sale. I also witnessed them dealing with a very difficult customer. They acted calmly and professionally despite the customer being irate and unwilling to listen. When the service was over, they walked me to my car to make sure I didn’t have any other questions and even sent me off with a small snack. S-tier service. If I ever find myself in a similar situation while in SJ, I would happily return to them.

The folks were very friendly and happy to discuss service items. They have a web-based quote/estimate system where additional service items noticed during the inspection/main repair are also posted and can be approved or declined, which is much nicer than the usual phone call. I’ll definitely be coming back for future car service.
