Best place in town, fantastic owners! Great place to shop vintage
I had a deeply upsetting experience at this store where my friends and I, all visibly Muslim women, were falsely accused of stealing a scarf without any proof. We had just come from the store next door, where we legitimately purchased a shirt — even asking if it was from this store to be sure — and the owner of this store had actually been in that same shop at the time. As we entered his store, he suddenly closed the door on us and shouted, “Go away, you're thieves,” claiming we put a scarf in our bag. When we asked to see the footage, he refused and told us to leave, making a comment that we probably hid it under our “gown,” referring to our abayas in a way that felt Islamophobic and targeted. His behavior was aggressive, unprofessional, and clearly discriminatory, especially given his comment about our appearance. The owner of the neighboring store even apologized on his behalf, which speaks volumes. I've never in my life been accused of theft, and this experience was shocking, embarrassing, and deeply hurtful — no one should be treated this way because of their race or religion.
I’ve always liked the idea of buying vintage clothes, but always found the process tedious. This place completely turned that on its head. It’s easy to browse and easy to try on. I ended up getting a couple of items that were in fantastic condition. This is, by far, the best vintage clothing store out there.
This store in Saint Paul MN was awesome everything they had was from the 50's, 60s & 70's authentic clothes from their era A must visit
My girlfriend went to go vintage to Check it out, ended up buying me what she thought was a sterling silver necklace, the clasp said .925.... you can put a sterling clasp on any piece of jewelry and claim its silver but doesn't make it a silver necklace. It tested out to be stainless. It was 65 dollars which is a bit high for a vintage store. She felt bad cause silver is all I wear. I told her to call him and I'm sure he would honor the authenticity.... was I ever wrong. At first he said sorry all sales are final, then he said bring it and never come back again....I was surprised by his answer and my girlfriend felt disrespected by his answer, she was sold a piece of steel with a sterling clasp..... not much longer she received a text message from who I assume was the same guy whom she bought it from and talked to on the phone saying..... well here's the text. All I'm saying is check the authenticity of what your buying, and don't call to inform him you been duped by him cause you'll just be asked not to come back.....very unprofessional and rude.
