I’ve been coming to Goody Goody on Oaklawn Avenue for over ten years, and one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back is Sarah. Walking in and seeing the same familiar, friendly face after all these years is genuinely refreshing. She always greets me with a warm “Hey girl,” or “Welcome in,” and somehow it never feels scripted—it feels real. Just the other day (okay, it was last Tuesday), I walked in and she said, “Hey girl, I got your half pint, on the rocks, old fashioned.” I was thrilled because I was already thinking I might have to switch it up. That small moment honestly made my day. Sarah knows her customers, and that kind of personal touch is rare. Over the years, we’ve shared little pieces of life—work, holidays, the ups and downs. She remembers that I’m a temp, asks how my day’s going, and treats me like a friend rather than just another customer. That kind of connection can’t be trained; it comes from genuine kindness and care. I truly hope her company sees what a bright light she is. Sarah represents Goody Goody in the best possible way, and she absolutely deserves recognition—and a raise. This review is my small way of giving back to someone who has given so much warmth and consistency over the years. If you shop at this location, you’re lucky if Sarah is the one who helps you.
Perfect place. I can find Carménère 👌🏻 and plenty of other good bottles without feeling like I’m searching forever. Solid prices, friendly staff, and the store is always organized so you get what you need and move on with your day. A reliable stop that never disappoints.
They have the friendliest staff and a huge selection of brands to choose from. Plus, they are finally, finally taking action on the parking situation where non-customers are taking all the spots. Hurray! I can now easily get in and out of their parking lot.
went inside and noticed how they utilize way too much space for a store that rarely gets customers. staff were standing outside threatening and waiting for cars to pull in and call a tow truck if seen walking inside the cafe across from them. never coming back in here again.
They literally have employees stalking the parking lot to make sure people parking there are going to goody good. I couldn’t even step out of the car when I was being already being questioned if I was going into the business or the lalaland. Parking lot was completely empty besides the employees.
