My husband and I really enjoyed meeting the proprietor of this business! He was a very handsome boxer mix and was very sociable. There were no humans in sight and that really worked for us and our dog! I would highly recommend this store.
We visited the Great Outdogs when my pup alerted me to STAHP when we were on a trip in Austin. She saw the stuffed dogs outside and we decided to come and shop! What a great selection of supplies and food and treats. All high quality items, the owner helped me find some new treats to satisfy my dogs insane chewing habit. Was nice to have kind hearted souls welcome us and share some ideas. The assistant who is a Boxer gives a wonderful vibe and made for a great stop. Wonderful place!
On the pricey side but I believe it’s independent ( not sure ) and there was a boxer ensuring the safety of everyone so that was well worth it for that guy
We stopped here to get some toys for our dog Archie . This was such a cute store . They have everything, food, toys , and collars, you name it . My favorite part was that the owners dog Tiegen was roaming around almost like he was helping customers . I will definitely come back to shop here when I am in town again.
We (my dog & I, equally) LOVE this place! They have great selection of everything and anything you could possibly need, and the owner is sooo incredibly kind and knowledgeable. He always makes us feel welcome and has no issues sharing treats :) I read some comments here about poor customer service, but honestly I think it’s because he’s not very “in your face” salesy or pushy, he’s very chill. He lets you do your thing in there & is more than happy to help if you have any questions. Which I appreciate. His dog is also usually there, and is the only big dog that my reactive dog actually likes. His boxer is really calm & sweet - and I think his calm nature makes my dog less reactive. One of our favorite Austin gems.
