🌟 Review for Greater Richmond School of Music (GRSM) 🌟 This is our second year with GRSM, where my son William (a 3rd grader at SMCS) has been taking private piano lessons. His teacher, Robert, has been absolutely wonderful—very skilled, patient, and friendly. William genuinely enjoys his lessons and looks forward to them each week, which speaks volumes about the positive learning environment GRSM provides. I also deeply appreciate the dedication and engagement of the owners, Hayes and Rebecca Cummings. Their commitment to the school and its students is evident in everything they do. The end-of-year recitals are a highlight for our family, offering a welcoming stage for the children to share their progress and celebrate their hard work. GRSM has been a fantastic place for William to grow musically, and we’re grateful for the supportive and inspiring community they’ve built. Highly recommended!
I've had 3 kids now as students of GRSM and have always been happy with their clear communication, the quality of their instructors and their general friendliness and dedication to their students.
Greater Richmond School of Music is a wonderful opportunity to learn about music and instruments. Both of my children have learned more about music and are developing their own taste for instruments they enjoy.
We've been really happy with GRSM for my son and daughter's piano lessons! I'm especially impressed by their current teacher's focus on improvement while also teaching to each child's age/ability, attention span, and interests. My older child has participated in several recitals and they've been great experiences-- very encouraging and empowering while focused on a growth mindset. The owners are very communicative, organized, and kind. Highly recommend!
We are new to GRSM this year and have had nothing but great experiences. My son has been learning guitar and his teacher has done an excellent job of working with him 1-on-1. The prices are great and all of the instructors that I have seen come into the lobby are great with kids. My son's instructor has been great at keeping the lessons relevant to his skill level and when we had bad weather keeping us from coming in person, online lessons went well. I definitely recommend GRSM for anyone interested. I am even thinking of enrolling next fall myself!
