It's been about 3 months or so since I took my driving class with John. For context: I've known to drive for about 8 years now but I never owned a car due to my financial situation as a student. Now that I'm working full-time post-graduation I decided to get a car to allow me more freedom and independence. But, I was never taught how to drive on highways which is why I wanted to take a class. I initially booked with a different "school" but was abandoned at the time of the appointment. All things work together, praise God! John has many years of experience teaching a large variety of drivers in different realms of driving (police, commercial, and us common folk.) I learned a plethora of helpful pointers from John (I won't share them because he is a much better teacher than I am and he is WORTH THE MONEY!) I went from an anxious driver who didn't even feel comfortable merging or changing lanes to being able to drive on I-4! All it took was ONE CLASS! I am a testament to his knowledge, wisdom, and expertise. I feel so safe in my car now and I am a much more cautious and conscious driver. I knew Floridians were bad drivers but when I use what John taught me as a benchmark, I can actually see what everyone is doing wrong! I still have much to learn and improve so I will eventually take another class with him, but I know it is worth it!
Today is 20 of Jan 2023 and I just passed my driving exam with an excellent score. My instructor’s name is John. He is a great teacher and prepared me well for the exam and real driving situations on the road. He was always on time (even earlier) for our classes and the road exam. John also has a great personality and you would feel with him at ease during your classes. Generally I am very picky person when it comes to any type of service. This school exceeded my expectations. I highly RECOMMEND the school, you won’t regret a minute if you do business with them.
We are very grateful to John and Gulf to Bay Driving School for the wonderful lessons and confidence the practical driving lessons gave my daughter! I researched quite a few driving schools in St. Pete before choosing John. And suffice it to say, we made a great choice! My daughter passed the road test on the first try! Therefore, it is my pleasure to recommend John and Gulf to Bay Driving School! Truly outstanding business: professional, courteous, excellent communication!
John is an amazing instructor. He'll break the information down to you in an understandable way and is very patient. After I finished my lessons with him I passed my driving test on the first try. He's the only one I'll ever recommend for others to learn how to drive.
After multiple bad experiences from other driving schools, it was a relief to find this one. It was pretty hard to find actually but my instructor was fantastic! As we would practice driving, he would explain things in-depth so I could grasp a good understanding of the different techniques to use or the rules of the road. He would also pull over and draw pictures of situations I had trouble understanding. It helped immensely!!! I'm surprised that this school doesn't have more publicity or reviews? This school was a hidden unlike the other schools where instructors were paying attention to their phone instead of the student. The instructor was a great teacher and great individual!!! Thank you for this school!!!
