Gus Giordano Dance School in Chicago (5230 N Clark St) bietet Sommercamps und Elite-Vorbereitungsprogramme. Tänzerinnen und Tänzer erleben Kreativität, Technik und Verbundenheit in einem einladenden, nicht wettbewerbsorientierten Umfeld. Our daughter started here when she was 5 last year. She was so nervous, and really froze up when doing anything in front of a group before. At the end of year performance, she was so excited to perform in front of hundreds of people without issue. The quality of the dance and instructing is obvious, but the growth and development of a young kid and her confidence was just amazing to see. At the performance, the older kids (12 or so), just WOW. It is a kind, inclusive, supporting, and just all around amazing place. Cannot be happy enough that we found Gus.
My daughter participated in the GUS Pre-Pro 3 week program this summer (2025). It was an amazing experience for her. Communcation about the program details was superb. She felt very welcomed by the staff and company members. The teachers/choreographers were excellent working with the high school age group and are incredible choreographers. We feel this was an opportunity of a life time to travel from out of state and participate in this outstanding program in Chicago. Thank you to Lauren and Amy for continuing the legacy of GUS Giordano!
My 13-year-old daughter spent a week in Chicago attending GUS camp, and it was an incredible experience. As a competitive dancer, it's rare for her to simply enjoy the art of dance without the pressure of competition—and GUS provided exactly that. It was a refreshing, inspiring week filled with creativity, positivity, and connection. The instructors were not only talented but truly passionate, and she loved being surrounded by such a supportive group of dancers. She’s already asking to come back for another session next summer!
I am currently training at GUS with the College Pro Program!! GUS has been nothing but amazing and so rewarding!! I have learned so many incredible skills for my future in the industry and to better myself as a dancer!! Know one does jazz like GUS and I have fallen in love with jazz even more in these three weeks!! I cannot wait to utilize all these skills for my career and bring it with me when I go back to college!! I am so grateful for the kind environment and all the dancers and faculty I have gotten to make connections with!! GUS has my heart forever!!
Studying at GUS for their college/pro intensive was one of the best experiences of my life! Not only did I learn so much, but I made friends for life! Getting to dance all day with incredible faculty and incredible dancers is such a rewarding learning experience. You are connected with people with real experience from the industry. I loved getting well rounded classes in Ballet, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary, and all styles of Jazz! There are also so many opportunities to perform at the end of the intensive! We got to be in so many incredible works! The staff works so hard to make everyone feel welcome and to make sure everyone is staying healthy and happy, and as Amy Giordano told us on our first day, everything in moderation! So we spent our days off exploring the city and experiencing Chicago, which was so fun! The staff is super great with helping us learn how to get around the city and giving us recommendations on the bast places to go eat or visit. They also provided us with the opportunity to do a headshot and dance photo session at an extremely discounted price to prepare you to go into the professional world! All in all it was such a great experience and I can’t wait until I am able to come back!
