Ms. TJ did such a wonderful job with my son’s (21 months) haircut. This was our first time going to a salon specifically geared towards kids and it was WELL worth it. He loved sitting in the little fire truck chair, watching Cars on the little tv, and Ms. TJ had plenty of toys and snacks to bring to the rescue whenever he started to seem upset. Will definitely go back the next time he needs a cut!
Ms. TJ was awesome. She was very patient with my son and she knew what to do to help him feel comfortable. It was his first haircut and we will definitely be back for future haircuts.
Ms. TJ gave my 4-year-old the most wonderful first haircut experience. She was terrified going into the salon, but the second we walked in she was greeted with such excitement and was treated like she was the queen for the entire time we were there. The most special part for her was the "Elsa braid" and sparkles that Ms. TJ put in her hair at the end of the cut. Thank you, Ms. TJ!!!
Our children have been going to Hairlarious for about 6 years now. Ms. TJ truly has a gift with reading kids and knowing how to get them to play along with getting a haircut! She's able to anticipate when a kid is getting ready to need another distraction or a reminder about avoiding itchy hair. Truly a magician! My sister took her kiddos (M7 and F4) to get haircuts at Hairlarious while I was visiting, so I went along to the appointment! What a blast! Miss TJ did a fantastic job, but more importantly, the kids had a blast! Her petite studio is outfitted with salon chairs for kids, personal TVs (Paw Patrol and Minecraft viewing for my niece & nephew) and she has decorations and a "treasure box" (each child can choose a "goodie bag" type toy when they're done!). My nephew especially loves the "VIP"/red carpet theme and was excited to show me the cool water fountain/feature in the lobby. Miss TJ is a former teacher, she's excellent with kids- no surprise that my good friend *also takes her child to Hailarious! It was a wonderful experience: I'd been hearing about Miss TJ for years, and now count myself lucky I was able to witness her in action! She was booked before and after our appointment (#popular!) and was right on schedule! My sister paid upfront which made for a smooth check out. As a bonus, my kiddos walked out with VERY COOL temporary hair gloss color (pink, and blue) that was a huge hit! 5 stars!
