Hawaiian Waters Garland is a really fun water park, especially during those brutally hot Texas summers. I’d give it four stars overall because there’s a lot to enjoy, but a few things could be better. The variety of slides is great, whether you’re into the fast, scary ones or just want to float around and relax. The lazy river is honestly one of my favorite parts and a good way to cool off without doing too much. The park is colorful, clean, and feels pretty well maintained. Lifeguards were everywhere and seemed attentive, which made it feel safe, especially with kids around. There are plenty of areas to sit and take a break, though shade can be kinda hard to find during peak hours. If you go early, it’s way more comfortable. Food is ok but nothing amazing, and it’s definitely overpriced. You’re kind of stuck paying park prices unless you leave and come back, which isn’t always ideal. Lines for the bigger rides can also get long in the afternoon, so patience is key. One thing to be aware of is that it gets very crowded on weekends. Some areas feel packed and a little chaotic at times. Still, it’s a solid spot for families, groups, or anyone looking to cool off and have fun. With a few small improvements, it could easily be a five star water park.
This is a lovely and small water park. Amazing lazy river because no one is telling you to get off and there is only one time you get splashed. The Wave pool is not rough and there are tubes inside as well, which gives it a different vibe. Didn't go on any slides because I just wanted to ride around the lazy river.
Affordable summer water fun for everyone! A season pass may be purchased for about $50. I can go to either the Garland or Colony location. I don't have a pool...so this is the next best thing! They sell beer too. The lazy river is the best. The only bummer is that they close at 6pm. So, I usually go for an hour or 2 at the end of the day.
It's a fun place to take the little ones during the summer 🏝️. It's a bit on the expensive side but you can stay until closing. The staff seam young but were very attentive at poolside. We didn't have any of the food but it looked tasty. We did have two tropical (unleaded) drinks, which were delicious.
This is a fun little family-friendly water park. There’s so much that I love about this park, starting with the family-friendly environment, to the cost effective pricing when compared to other options in DFW. And to be honest, we have season passes to one of the bigger, more popular water parks in the metroplex, but I love coming here bc I can enjoy the park with peace of mind & feel like my kids are safe here. I love that they specifically state in their policy that it is a family friendly park and for that reason, thong-style swimwear isn’t allowed. As a mom, this is something that I really appreciate, bc I hate to have to be explaining to my kids why some women are totally happy walking around public spaces with their cheeks hanging out in front of children & families. (I tell them that they are a type of ppl that are not embarrassed or shy about exposing their own bodies and probably like letting everyone look at their hiney) but It gets old having to explain to them that although some people have no shame in exposing their body, in our family that type of behavior is unacceptable bc in my opinion it is a disrespect of self. Imagine your 10 y/o son asking you “why does that lady have her ‘ALLLL her butt’ hanging out”. 🤪😂 So coming here, I rest assured that I won’t have to explain the “why” behind other ppl’s choices/behavior in that regard. Another aspect that I enjoy about this park is that now that my kids are a little bit older (12) I can let them roam without worrying about them getting lost bc it’s not overwhelmingly big. It’s just the right place for them to go ride rides without me having to shadow right next to them the entire time! So yea, props to Hawaiian Waters for their family friendly atmosphere, reasonable pricing & fun filled park 🛝🌊🥳
