Bad place to buy gifts. The return policy is just too strict. My kid got a gift from her family member and couldn’t exchange it because we were past the two week limit. 2 weeks is just too short for gift giving unless you buy it day of. But even then! She had just gotten the gift. Ridiculous.

I travel to Madison regularly and this is my absolute favorite stop. This is on my “must do” list when in town. I feel instant joy walking through the doors and I can’t contain my excitement as I stroll around and discover the newest additions. The gifts, helpful household items, jewelry, incredibly soft graphic tees, funky sunnies, unique gadgets, greeting cards, and the creative and unexpected surprises make this sweet little business an ideal spot for any shopper. I love that they are attached to a fantastic little art gallery, Hazel, featuring a wildly talented array of local artists. Both shops are owned by the same female entrepreneur, who is an artist herself. I’ve now purchased two piece of art from Hazel, and dozens of fun and unique items from Hatch. I wish every little town or city I visited had something like Hatch and Hazel; the two businesses are an absolute gift to Madison.
