Highwire Coffee Roasters ist ein gemütliches Café in Oakland, das für qualitativ hochwertige Backwaren und sorgfältig zubereitete Getränke bekannt ist. Gelegen im Rockridge Market Hall, 5615 College Ave, in der Nähe der Rockridge-BART-Station, zieht es eine treue Kundschaft an. Highwire is my favorite coffee, so when I go out for a coffee, it's Highwire or bust. Today, for the first time ever, I asked for my usual dark roast and they had none. None to pour, and none was being made. Just no dark roast. I was truly upset. This is a treat for me, and it was very disappointing that they couldn't offer my usual and I don't think I'll be going back to this Highwire on College if they aren't going to always have that dark roast available. Bummer!
Fabulous cortado in an actual cup that’s perfect for it! I’m so tired of coffee places that put espresso drinks in their smallest coffee cup and think its ok. Even the smallest drip coffee cup is too big and the cortado loses the enveloping warmth that makes the sipping experience an actual experience. minus one star for being too popular. 😖i kept getting knocked into by the door because it was door to door people waiting for their order.
Nice coffee shop in Oakland. Great coffee and very cozy neighborhood near Rockridge Bart station.
Second time here - definitely quality baked goods & well crafted drinks. They definitely have a loyal following as you'll see customers basically all the time & expect a wait during peak hours. Friend of mine likes high end matcha & enjoyed the hot matcha latte here, with oatmilk. My latte with oatmilk had a nice coffee aroma and very smooth - very different than the stronger stuff you'll get at Peet's Coffee (which I also like). Worth a visit if you haven't had Highwire. Not much seating (maybe 3 seats at the bar .
High wire recently moved from their Market Hall location to the building next door. My latte was nice but seemed small for $5. The new location was rather sparse and didn’t have much character to it, and I hope they add some decor. You can park in the nearby BART parking for free on weekends.
