House of Wine is an absolutely delightful wine shop in the heart of Boise. I contacted House of Wine recently to source an esoteric Hungarian Dessert Wine, and the owner, Kat was exceptionally helpful in locating the wine for me and put one aside for me to come in an pick up. When we came in to pick up the wine, we settled in for a tasting with Jose who is not only a delightful human being, but has an encyclopedic knowledge of wines. We ended up tasting at the same time as two other couples (who were absolutely fantastic), and as it turns out we all had similar wine flights, so the tasting turned into an impromptu wine class for the 6 of us led by Jose. We had an amazing time, and tried a few new wines that we absolutely adored. If you like wine, and haven't stopped by the House of Wines, please take the time to stop in. It is a wonderful wine shop with a wide variety of wines, and a fantastic, knowledgeable staff.
Such a great place and experience! The wine was amazing and the service was so fun! Jose was such a fun time and was so interactive and informative about the wine! Would 1000% recommend!
We had a date night here and tried the wine flights and had a wonderful experience. Jose was fun and very knowledgeable and stoked my love of wine. It was a great experience, the wines were amazing, and we’d love to do it again. This kind of place could revive the respect and love of wine in Boise it deserves.
This wine place sells wines from around the world and has first class tastings. Jose Manzanares was such a great host. This business is well thought out and laid out for a show place in such a small place. He also gives classes about wines so if you want to know more about wines then just tasting them this is your place.
