They charge $74 to send out a technician just to give you a quote before even providing any work at all. Edit for the reply: Yes they informed me of this up front and also that the service fee would be taken out of the quoted price, I never said that they didn’t or that I was charged for anything. Unfortunately, that’s not the way bidding works or the purpose of consumers shopping around for quotes or estimates. If someone chooses to go with a different company in the end, then they’re still out almost $100 for the privilege of receiving a price from Hutton, which I believe is crazy. Many other electricians are capable of giving a quote based on questions and requesting pictures, even speaking to the scenarios where the price may be inflated by specific circumstances they can’t see. A bidding process isn’t only about price, but also about getting to know your contractor and the expertise that your money will be paying for. I believe, especially for a job as simple as the one I was requesting, being told that even a ballpark quote can’t be provided without a technician and a $74 fee, that’s a red flag. This review isn’t meant to attack anyone at Hutton, they were friendly and didn’t try to hide this $74 fee, I just believe the fee itself to be overpriced for simply receiving a quote. I wouldn’t have wasted my time calling Hutton if I had been aware of it prior to calling, so I just wanted to leave that information here for anyone else who thinks similarly to myself.

I had two generator appointments canceled. The last appointment I had to call to find out status and was told they would have to reschedule again and that they left me a voicemail- no call and no voicemail! This company’s ads talk a big game but evidently they cannot even keep an appointment. I had to take off work twice for them. I will never use them very unreliable!

Hutton came out to a "new to us" home for a consult and walkthrough of our residence. Joe was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and polite. He took his time to explain the reason we were experiencing issues, and included us in each element of our air handling system. I'd trust Joe and the Hutton team to tackle problems with transparency and honesty while including customers on the plan of attack and the "why" behind it all.

Five stars ++++. Great company. Matthew did maintenance on my home's older heating system; he was very knowledgeable of the existing HVAC . I expressed my goals for changing systems early spring, and Matthew took time going over my options, explaining each, so I now have confidence moving forward. I was told by a neighbor that the team at Hutton are collaborative, and highly professional. I am very glad I took my neighbor's advice!

From the beginning of our project, everyone that was involved were incredibly knowledgeable and eager to help us. Emily is a treat to speak with and efficient in scheduling and informing us at every turn. I unfortunately can’t remember the elections name, but he was very patient and understood what we needed, he then explained his part of the process and didn’t disappoint. We had a new HVAC system installed by another company that had failed. So we called Hutton for help. Joe came out and assessed the situation, again, super patient and friendly and then, finally Matt, the HVAC repair guy and his helper were super friendly and went above and beyond to insure that our new failed system was repaired and operating smoothly. We thank you all for your patience, friendliness, knowledge and professionalism.
