First time visiting: Prerna absolutely killed her service. Super sweet and incredibly attentive. I hope to be in her section next time. As for the food, though the portions are smaller than other restaurants, I still left the l super full and satisfied. Highly recommend the crab dip, salmon sushi, and the steak and lobster pasta. 10/10
Fabulous meal at Joey Polo Park! Amazing attentive service and the food was out of this world. I would highly recommend the creme brulee cheesecake. Fabulous people with fabulous food. Big shout outs and thank yous to Ella and Amber! Winnipeg sit up and take notice! Sometimes the old restaurants should retire and let the younger ones fill in the gap. Best service and food I've had in a long time in this city. (PS. We had just left a well known old Winnipeg institution (restaurant) because after 20 min we had had no service. Meanwhile at Joey Polo Park, we were seated, attended to, ordered and had drinks all in that time frame.)
I visited Joeys on January 1, 2026, and Tito was our server. His welcoming smile and energetic personality was amazing. He was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly without being intrusive. Tito’s positive energy truly elevated our experience.
The ambience is great during happy hour. Not too loud. The Parmesan dip with the hibachi wings was really good. The wings are on the skinny side. But they were nice and flavourful. Normally I don’t eat salad as a meal but the katsu chicken peanut salad was amazing. It’s cleverly plated and makes you feel like you’re eating some more extravagant than a bowl of salad. The truffle udon carbonara was rich and the bacon is not overly salty which is great. We had preordered dessert in anticipation that it might take a while to come around. They set it down as soon as the entree plates were cleared. The crème brûlée cheesecake had many elements of textures and flavours that went well together. Honestly for the price the presentation did not disappoint. It was very upscale. Our server Nicole was great and the rest of the team that served us. It’s been years since I’ve been to Joey and I’m impressed. I think I’ll be back again
First time dining here, and the food was good. I only wish the pasta had a bit more sauce. The service was friendly, and the portion sizes were good. Prices were fair, and the atmosphere was laidback vibes.
