Excellent experience overall. Prefer to purchase Apple products from John Lewis rather than the Apple store as same price with 2 year guarantee. The click and collect is difficult since the collection desk has been moved to 1st floor tills with same 15 minute parking and ANPR cameras.
I had a wonderful experience at John Lewis thanks to an outstanding customer service assistant named Eman on the first floor. I was looking for an item that showed online as having only one left in my size, and she went out of her way to help me locate it. She was attentive, incredibly helpful, and had such a happy and positive attitude — nothing was too much trouble for her. Her genuine kindness and willingness to help made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. I also want to mention the lovely women at the coffee shop, who were also friendly and welcoming. It’s refreshing to receive such consistently excellent service. Thank you to everyone involved — I’ll definitely be back!
Me and my partner were served by a Nespresso rep just after Christmas (I think his name was Joel). He’s helped us a few times now and every time he’s been a pleasure to chat to, his service is so natural and memorable. We had a bit of a complex situation where an order didn’t turn up and he really went out of his way to help us out. It’s rare to see service like this nowadays. 10/10 would come back and buy again purely because of the experience he provided us. 😌
Had a really good experience at John Lewis Cardiff and honestly it was mainly down to the Nespresso rep. The guy was genuinely so helpful and clearly knew his stuff inside out. He took the time to explain the different machines and pods properly without rushing or being pushy, and even walked me through how My John Lewis rewards work. He also showed me how handy it is keeping receipts on the John Lewis app, which I didn’t even realise was a thing. What really sold it for me was how engaging he was. Proper easy to talk to, answered every question, and actually made the whole experience enjoyable. He even made me a really nice coffee, which obviously didn’t hurt at all. I went in just to look and ended up buying a Nespresso coffee machine, so that says a lot. He genuinely put John Lewis in a great light and made the brand feel premium but still friendly. The shop itself is really nicely laid out, clean, and easy to find everything without wandering around aimlessly. It doesn’t feel overwhelming, which I appreciate. Parking was also straightforward with plenty of spaces, and the price for parking was pretty decent too, especially for the city centre. Overall, great experience from start to finish. Big credit to the Nespresso rep for making it such a positive visit. Definitely left feeling impressed.
I had a bit of a mishap with John Lewis Cardiff. I researched which TV I wanted to buy for around 3 weeks prior to going into the shop. When I went in they didn't have the one I wanted in stock. The sales assistant was absolutely lovely and advised us to buy a different model which by John Lewis' spec sheets did have the exact same screen (which is what was important to me). Anyways we ended up buying the advised TV. Got delivered, set up and worked fine. However after watching the TV I/we realised it definitely was not the same screen, it was a edge lit display where I was wanting a full array. So after talking to customer service which in itself was good, can't fault them, I was then handed over to Warren (floor manager) in Cardiff store as it was a "store issue". He was so understanding and absolutely brilliant, usually a exchange wouldn't be accepted due to us using/powering on the TV however once he understood that we were unknowingly mislead by the sales assistant, he was more than happy to create the exchange. We now have the TV I originally wanted and everything is great. Top manager and has made my wife and I very happy this Christmas. Thank you so much Warren 🙂👍 merry Christmas!
