Among many Bakery Cafe's, Bake N Broil truly stands out. Their food and desserts are no-fuss and superior to any similar place that I'm aware of. Savory items are considerately salted to taste, no more. Sweet items are similarly skillfully sweetened. Overall, there is a deliberate, humble effort evident to not toss ingredients together, but create something amazing from basic ingredients. Oh, and the prices are very reasonable. You can't go wrong eating here.
I haven’t been in a couple years, but glad I stopped by to eat again! This place has been here since 1965, but anyone can see why it’s still going strong!If there is a wait (which there probably will be), by all means WAIT! I opted for the simple sausage and eggs with a cream cheese muffin, and a side each of the seasonal pumpkin pancake, and a lemon-blueberry pancake with raspberry sauce, and my friend got the chicken-fried chicken & eggs. The cream cheese muffin was literally the best muffin I’ve ever had! Ilana, our waitress, was very helpful in picking out our order and explaining the menu. Everything here was delicious and filling. I even ordered a couple muffins and a cinnamon roll to go! I’ll be back more often now!
Food is flavorful with fair portions. Hospitality is great and the atmosphere feels cozy. Definitely worth a visit if the line isn’t 1hr+ which is often the case for good reason.
First time here pancakes were delicious. Chicken pot pie great flavor, the only thing is the wait could be upsetting we waited to be sitting for almost 1 hour. So if your patient the wait was worth it for us. Not from the area but when we have a chance we will come back we want to try other food from their menu.
We arrived on a Saturday morning at 10:30 and had to wait almost an hour on the outside tables for our party of three. But it was totally worth it! The coffee cake was amazing, and all the meals we ordered were huge and delicious!
