If you’re on Venice Beach and you have any inclination to surf, skate, bike etc. this is 100% the place to go. They are so kind and helpful and really give you the best experience possible. Zahid is epic! He’s so helpful and chill and made my surf at Venice super sweet! Thanks guys
Highly recommend this place if you are looking for baggage storage after disembarking from a cruise (ie. Princess, Carnival). We had half a day to spend in the city before our flight and wanted to visit somewhere that had legitimate and secure luggage storage. Jay's popped up as an option and we decided to check it out and pay in person. It is a reputable business and we ended up renting a 3-person trike to visit Santa Monica pier. The owner is a stand-up guy who takes pride in providing great service. The location can't be beat and is easy for Uber drop-off/pick-up. There are also great restaurants steps away which is another bonus.
Fully recommended! Had so much fun trying out the tandem bike and taking my first surfing class with Zahid — he was super patient and clearly knows a lot about surfing! 🤙🏼 I also tried skateboarding for the first time, and they made sure I learned the basics safely, with all the protective gear just in case I fell 😅 Everyone there is incredibly kind and friendly. They speak both Spanish and English, and really make you feel comfortable 💛
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the BEST time with Zahid at J’s Rentals in Venice, California! He gave our group of 3 teens their first surf lesson. The kids were up on their boards in no time (okay, attempting to be up), and laughing, learning, and loving it. Highly recommend J’s Rentals for any first-time surfers or anyone who just wants to have a blast at the beach.
Wonderful experience! Everyone was so kind to me and my son. Zahid gave my 10 year old an incredible surfing lesson- and he actually learned how to surf! He couldn’t have had a better time. They had everything we needed, from flip-flops to surfboards. We’ll definitely be coming back every time we’re in town!
