We had an enormous project - complete gut and rebuild of the interior of an historic house, planned to be our forever home. It now is our forever home thanks to Kristen and Kinteriors. It was her understanding of the details, the bones and structure that would always be there, coupled with listening to our lifestyle that made all the difference. Not an affront to the history of the home, but a thoughtful pulling it forward and maintaining a nod to its origins. I can’t count the times the moldings have been commented on, the beautiful details like the corbels echoing in openings. While I couldn’t picture the mosaic Moroccan tile she specified, when the sample arrived I swooned. She’s gifted in combining both custom and purchased pieces, and creating a harmonious continuity between rooms without tedium. Most of all, when you’re creating your forever place, you need the design to stand up to time - she nailed it.
K Interiors has been an incredible partner to us. Their designs are inspirational and sublime while grounded in functionality. They are amazing to work with and provide thoughtful and creative solutions that are elevated and pragmatic. They are amazing at translating our wishes, vision, needs and ideas into a cohesive and stunning design plan that can be executed successfully within budget and on time. And they have an exquisite sense of design and aesthetics.
Kristen and her team are magnificent at what they do! We'd been living in our house for 17 years when we first started to work with Kinteriors. I had two teens who'd long outgrown their childhood bedrooms and a kitchen, dining room, family room and playroom that were perfectly functional but no longer represented who we were as a family. Two of the bathrooms we took down to the studs, along with the kitchen. She transformed each space with pieces that felt like they were created just for us. Six years later I still walk through the front door with this absolute feeling of "I'm home." It is the same for my kids and our guests.
