I'm sorry to report we were more than disappointed with king. GE dryer stopped heating and we were told that the diagnostic showed 2 thermistors were bad and that it would be $412 to replace them. Since we only paid like $550 for the dryer new we decided to try and fix it by buying the 2 parts, total with shipping about $100. When we replaced them it still didn't work so looking at YouTube the most common reason for no heat is a purple wire that runs to the dryer element it is SO common GE makes a $20 dollar kit to fix it. Put the kit in and works fine now. How could a specialist not know that? How could a diagnostic program not detect no power to the heat element? I have tried to think of an excuse why they would not see the broken wire hanging down or be aware of the most common cause but I do not see how it was not deliberate attempt to overcharge. I also checked the function of the thermistors we replaced with a multimeter according to GE instructions and they were fine so we still wasted $100 for unnecessary parts. The only issue was the $20 wire. If they would have said $200 to replace the wire i would have said go ahead.
