I’ve spent a few days thinking about whether to post this, but ultimately felt compelled to share. We had a Groupon for six people and 120 minutes of bowling, and decided to use it to celebrate our 11-year-old son’s birthday. Our son has significant medical needs—he uses a wheelchair and a ventilator—so getting out into the community isn’t always easy. This outing was a big deal for our family. When we arrived, there was a miscommunication and we were charged $55 for just 20 minutes of bowling, despite having the Groupon. I calmly went to explain the issue. During that conversation, an employee named Jimmy became confrontational, told us we were trying to steal half a game of bowling and attempted to remove our family from the building. This was incredibly upsetting and would have been devastating for the kids. Thankfully, the general manager, Eric, overheard the exchange, stepped in, refunded our money, and apologized. He handled the situation professionally, and I truly appreciated his intervention. As we were leaving, the same employee told us, “Jesus loves you” and “May the power of Christ compel you.” That interaction left us feeling deeply uncomfortable. I have never been removed—or threatened with removal—from any establishment, and I did not use inappropriate language or an aggressive tone that would warrant that treatment. This was our child’s birthday celebration, just days before a major surgery, for a child who is terminally ill. What should have been a joyful, inclusive moment became something distressing instead. I hope this reaches corporate leadership so that video footage can be reviewed and this behavior addressed. No family—especially one navigating disability and medical complexity—should be made to feel unwelcome or targeted in a public space.
All of the staff was super sweet and very helpful! Always checking in to make sure we are doing okay. Will definitely go again! I highly recommend this place especially for birthdays
Amazing Service from Ashly at the Tap House! We had the BEST experience at the Tap House at King Pins thanks to our server, Ashly. She went above and beyond for our party while we were celebrating my daughter’s 10th birthday. Ashly was incredibly caring and accommodating, making sure everything was perfect from start to finish. She checked in with us often, even let us know when she was stepping away for her break, and took the time to talk with all of our guests. Most importantly, she made my daughter feel so special on her big day. Her kindness and attention to detail truly made our experience 100 times better. Ashly is absolutely amazing, and her service was outstanding. We were so grateful for her!

At KingPins Beaverton, the bowling lanes are top-notch, the 5,000 sq-ft arcade and two-level laser-tag arena are non-stop fun, and the TapHouse Bar & Grill makes it easy to stay longer. Great vibes whether you're solo, with friends, or hosting a party.
We had our son’s 7th birthday party at KingPins this past weekend, and they absolutely exceeded my expectations. Our party coordinator, Logan, was incredible — she has a real gift for keeping things running smoothly and keeping kids engaged and happy. She handled every detail: cutting and serving cake, organizing pizza and drinks for both kids and parents, and even getting all 17 kids to line up and wash their hands before laser tag (no small feat!). She managed the group with warmth, humor, and total control — all while staying upbeat and friendly the entire time. After the party, when the kids went to play in the arcade, Logan gathered all of our things and had them perfectly organized at a table for us. Everything went so smoothly, on time, and stress-free — every parent there commented that they wanted to hire Logan as a babysitter. KingPins really made it easy to host a big group, and Logan made it exceptional. Highly recommend for birthday parties — and if you can, request Logan!
