Staff are always friendly, plenty of things to do around the lake. I always enjoy the well maintained mountain bike and walking trails, the lake is also great for kayaking and paddle boarding!
In my opinion the best city reservoir in Greensboro. The wildlife is amazing. The only thing is the boat ramp is very sandy due to being adjacent to the kayak beach launch. The staff is very friendly. One day I got stuck at the boat ramp in the sand, and one of the ladies from the staff helped me dig my trailer out. Very grateful for the help and I will always remember that.
First off, I need to note that kayaking here is NOT pet friendly. I have a service dog and they were more than happy to allow her in case I had a medical episode. The prices aren’t too bad, and staff was friendly. I had a great time and so did my service dog!

It's an excellent way to explore the lake at your own pace and soak in the beauty from the water. Paddling on the calm, reflective surface as the sun sets is a surreal experience that we highly recommend. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat, a romantic evening, or an adventurous day out, Lake Brandt Marina has something to offer. Nice nice nice. This place is pleasant surprise for greensboro. I like it. I think nice want to come again. The kayak rental was easy. I recommend paddle board as well very very fun. I wish they sold ice cream on shore tho oh well.
