I absolutely love this gym! My two sons have been attending the tots classes, and I really respect the holistic approach they take. It’s not just about the physical side of martial arts; the instructors also take time to celebrate each child’s achievements throughout the week, which means so much to us. We’ve recently started doing the family classes, and I’m so impressed by how supportive and accommodating they are, especially with my youngest. He does have some challenges with concentration, but we feel really well cared for, and we’ve already seen improvements in his attention. With the help of the amazing instructors at AEGIS, we’re working on this consistently. My eldest child is progressing so well and really loves the discipline. It’s a perfect fit for him. We love it so much that my husband and I have joined the family classes too! I’m really enjoying it and looking forward to learning more about martial arts. I highly recommend this place! It’s been a wonderful experience for our whole family.
Aegis Leeds North has been a fantastic experience for my daughter who is 8 but started when 5. It’s more than a martial arts class it builds confidence, street smarts and the classes are run by expert martial arts teachers who are friendly, positive and encouraging. Would highly recommend it to adults and kids alike if you want to learn martial arts with an encouraging method and makes learning memorable.
My son has been attending Leeds North Aegis Martial Arts for a couple of years now and I have nothing but positive things to say. They develop not only Martial arts skills but positive attitudes and behaviour. My son now attends twice a week as he enjoys his sessions so much. The enthusiasm and encouragement of the whole team makes for a wonderful family learning atmosphere.
This place will get you fit, is a great place to meet new people, and learn a new life skill. You get back what you put in and all the Instructors are all extremely knowledgable in Martial arts. I can not recommend it highly enough. We all love it! My sons are 6 and 9 now and they have been going for a couple of years. They are both really exited every single time it comes to time for class and this is so wonderful to see as a parent. The personal protection side of things is brilliant, however it’s the hidden things which you don’t obviously see which AEGIS are so good at and it’s slipped in to the routine in such a way it’s unnoticeable, however they are life skills which are so important for all people, not only the children like confidence and discipline. After watching the boys train for a year or so my wife and I joined them on the mat to help aide their development, but also because we could see the positives AEGIS was giving them. As a relatively unfit 40+ male with a history of injuries to my knees and shoulders, I wasn’t 100% sure if it was the most sensible thing to do, however they accepted us with open arms and helped me train, even adapting things at certain points for me so I could still train. My weight has dropped, my strength increased and confidence has improved no end, plus the wife enjoy getting to Give me the occasional whack every now and again. AEGIS is not only our club it is now an extended part of the family. Everyone associated with AEGIS Leeds North have been nothing but wonderful to us along our journey and have been there to pick us up when we’ve been down and also leant a shoulder to cry on when things have been a little tough. Not once did I feel we were being judged and nothing but genuine concern was being shown. Thank you AEGIS for all you’ve provided this far along the journey and here’s to many more years together....
