Today was my second time here. Last time was over 2 years ago. Don't recall it being memorable (good or bad). Maybe a little pricey but justified for the area. But today, I got the chicken banh mi. Dee-licious! 😋 I don't think I've had a chicken banh mi before. It was cooked so well, tender, moist, and very flavorful. Clean and modern space & atmosphere. My only recommendation is that the restaurant ask the landlord to add (slower, Level 2) electric vehicle (EV) charging stations right in front of the restaurant. This would allow people like me to conveniently charge while dining in. There are fast chargers in the same lot but I don't need that much fuel or speed of charge. If I used that, I'd have to get up mid-meal to unplug which is inconvenient. With slower chargers I could gain about 20 miles just while I'm eating. Great for business travelers too. There are clearly plenty of customers here already driving EVs. I spotted 4 right out front. Seems like it would be a great investment and valuable to everyone involved (restaurant, landlord, guests). I recommend contacting local Houston company & experts, Pangea Charging if you decide to explore this idea.
We used to come here for Pho and Banh mi . Price is high compared to other viet restaurants but we come here for quality and taste . This is my first time try shaken beef and egg , a bit salty for my taste but still good . I will they give me more vegetables and bread so I can balance out the saltiness. Next time I may come back to my regular banh mi and pho .
This venue is a great option for Vietnamese food without venturing too far from the Loop. It offers quick, no-fuss counter service and a bright, inviting dining room with plenty of seating. You’ll find all the standard favorites like vermicelli bowls, banh mi, and spring rolls, along with some more unique dishes—my personal favorite being the roasted bone marrow. It’s definitely on the pricier side for Vietnamese fare, but considering the location, presentation, and portion sizes, it makes sense. All in all, a solid choice.
Les Ba’get has been one of my favorite hidden gems in Houston. Every time I come here, I’m blown away by how fresh and flavorful the food is. The banh mi and pho are always on point, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. What I love most is that it feels like more than just a meal, it’s comfort food with heart. The space has a cozy, modern vibe that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy. I’m proud to support them and always look forward to coming back.
Casual spot for a little more upscale TX take on Vietnamese favorites. We come here primarily for some of the unique spring roll and baguette options, specifically their brisket which is unlike other places in a good way, and for the Buddha which is probably my favorite tofu offering around…love their seasoning take. Their noodles are a little thicker than other places which I don’t prefer but I do really like their somewhat jumbo spring rolls which are packed w freshness and the quail eggs are a tasty side option. Some of the artwork is a bit curious for a hospitality oriented space but admittedly most prolly don’t even notice. Plenty of parking and friendly service whenever we’ve dropped in for lunch or dinner. Definitely recommend stopping in here for a menu that has some fun twists compared to many of their competitors.
