Lions air duct specialists Jorge and Karla provided excellent and efficient service to clear out our clogged dryer vent that prevented our clothes to dry. They knew exactly what to do with an exhaust vent on the second story and accessible only at an odd angle. In addition, the duct wasn’t a straight duct to snake and was blocked with 30 years of lint accumulation. They finished the job in less than an hour and left the laundry room and exterior area clean. Highly recommend this team!
UPDATE: within two hours of posting this review, we received a phone call directly from the business owner to understand what happened. The owner indicated this was a new technician and not at all consistent with the business standards of the company. The owner apologized sincerely, provided us with a full refund, and offered us a free service in the future to trial their business again. I appreciate their effort to make things right. I believe they are sincere about offering high-quality service and that our experience was a one off. We hired lions heating and air conditioning to come out and look at why our downstairs air conditioning was not blowing cold air. The service technician seemed confused about the issue and at first said the compressor was broken and then said the contactor was broken. When my husband asked him to demonstrate that the contactor was broken he could not explain or prove that it was broken and my husband actually had to test that the contactor was not broken by swapping with our other air conditioning unit himself. Ultimately the technician again said it was the compressor that was broken, could not be fixed and that we needed to spend $9,800 to replace our air conditioning unit. We were charged almost $300 for the service call. We elected not to replace our air conditioner as we did not believe the recommendation. After calling another company to come out it turns out it was a capacitor that needed to be replaced, a $40 part. We are very disappointed in the service; it feels a bit like a scam and we feel we should get our money back for the service charge. Please be warned if you plan to use this company in the future.
My consultation with Lions Heating and Air Conditioning was great. Jason L arrived on time. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about why my ac unit wasn't working. He educated me on what was needed from my unit on the roof to the ducts inside my place. Apparently I also need to turn it on as well. No pressure sales.
We decided to replace our conventional Gas Heater/AC HVAC with a more efficient and environmentally friendly Heat Pump system. This was a big decision not only because of the expense but more importantly to get a properly installed Heat Pump HVAC that would last 15-20 years. I got bids from the top 7 rated Heat Pump HVAC installers in LA. Yurii from Lions Heating & Air Conditioning performed the most thorough evaluation of all. He pointed out that 2 electric circuits needed to be upgraded. The Lions Heating & Air Conditioning quote was the most detailed of all the bids which included duct work, obtaining the inspection permit for LA Building and Safety, paperwork for CA clean air rebate and the LADWP rebate and much more. Even tho Lions Heating & Air Conditioning bid was the highest, I kept referring to it because it was the most comprehensive and transparent. After I had the circuits upgraded, Yurii came by to inspect. I told him it was down to Lions Heating & Air Conditioning and another installer and I had a few questions. Yurii said he would have Joseph the owner call. Joseph phoned 10 minutes later. He was great to talk to, answered my questions and assured me that the Lions Heating & Air Conditioning quote was what the job would cost. I chose to go with the inverter heat pump system (most efficient) and gave him the go ahead. On the date to begin installation, Komal, the installer arrived and got to work. He was fantastic; respectful, dedicated to doing the job right, great communication, terrific problem solver and on top of that an excellent craftsman. In fact every member of the Lions Air team proved to be top professionals. Komal spent a great deal of time refining our system until it worked perfectly. You couldn't ask for more as far as I am concerned. Even tho Lions Heating & Air Conditioning bid was the highest, I am convinced that in the end it was the lowest because there were no surprises along with the highest standard of workmanship. So, if you want great communication a seamless job and get what you pay for then look no further than Lions Heating & Air Conditioning .
Sadly it hard to find honest contractors of ALL industries, so having George & Karla show up after I was just taken for $225 from another Air Duct Co., who never cleaned out the duct he was hired to do. I was so unset because I mistakenly paid him with cash which I never do but had a laps in judgement. Anyways, It was a relief when Lions best George & Karla showed up. The two came in on time & got right to work tackling the job. They were both professional & friendly. I will be calling on them every spring to take care of the matter moving forward. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
