How lucky I was to stumble across Sarah on instagram! I had a vintage (1930s?) dressing gown that had been hanging on the back of my bedroom door waiting to be turned into something fabulous. And that's exactly what Sarah did, transforming it into a fantastic co-ord blouse and shorts. I am thrilled with the finished outfit, it's so special and truly unique and Sarah took so much care in making it. I wish I had a stack of vintage pieces to bring to her to reimagine!
Had such an amazing experience with Sarah, She was highly recommended to me by a friend and did not disappoint! Sarah has such a warm and welcoming nature, her passion for her craft and attention to detail is exactly what you wish for in someone altering or reimagining your clothing! Going forward I don’t think I’d trust anyone else to alter my clothes. I’d give more that 5 stars if possible!! Couldn’t recommend Sarah more ❤️
I first contacted Sarah because I needed a cosplay costume altered. This cosplay is so important to me that I got in touch with her six weeks before I actually needed it to ensure it was ready on time. Sarah took my passion for this very seriously, and delivered the costume exactly when I needed it. It was a little too small for me, so she did her best to make both the pants and the coat (pictured) fit a little less snugly without compromising the original costume, which was paramount. She's also very upfront about what she's going to do; how long it may take; and the potential price as well as the reasons for said pricing, which she only confirms and requests once the job is done and you're 100% happy with the outcome. I found this very fair and respectful of the customer because I have no expertise in this craft, and at no point did I feel like I was having my leg pulled. Suffice to say, I'll be going back to Sarah every time I need my clothes or costumes altered.
Thank you thank you thank you to Sarah at Liverpool Alterations Boutique for making a very un-bridey bride feel lovely in her wedding dress! She really cared about what I wanted and took the time and energy to understand what was important to me - suggesting tweaks that enhanced the dress without taking anything away from it. I assumed these changes would break the bank but Sarah was also really reasonably priced and worked to my schedule too. All in all, just a lovely, lovely experience. Thank you Sarah, Siobhan xx Ps. Sarah is incredibly skilful at her craft. The alterations she did for me were the perfect fit and exactly what I asked for. She even matched the hand sewn finish that the garments originally had. Worth every penny. I will definitely be returning with all my other alterations in the future ❤️
