Ali changed my life. I came into the salon with sad highlights, a hangover, and no idea what to do; Ali transformed me into a well-hydrated, crowd-stopping galaxy rainbow. I've been collecting compliments ever since! The salon is BEAUTIFUL: easy street parking right outside, floor to ceiling windows that let in all the light (none of the Boston cold!), warm and cozy decorations, and gentle ambient music. It's a super inclusive space; as a queer BIPOC customer, I felt safe and seen and loved. Ali got me seated with a tall glass of sparkling water (they serve it in LAMS-branded flutes, which is such a nice touch) and walked me through some ideas. We agreed on a vision, and then I sat back for the rest of the afternoon while she did her magic. I really appreciated that Ali went low and slow on the bleach: as a dark-haired girlie, I have been rushed through multiple processes at the expense of my hair health, but Ali was gentle and sophisticated with the bleach and the colors. I walked out of the salon feeling like a million dollars. I will definitely be back: I was so inspired by Ali's work, I even created a Pinterest inspo board for my next appointment! Highly recommend! 5 stars!
Love and Mercy Salon is truly exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed into a beautiful, calming space where you can tell everyone genuinely cares about their craft and their clients. Patty and Kara are beyond talented—they listen, they understand exactly what you’re looking for, and they consistently deliver flawless results. Their attention to detail, creativity, and professionalism set them apart. I always leave feeling confident, refreshed, and so happy with my hair. I can’t recommend Love and Mercy Salon, Patty, and Kara enough.
Absolutely love my cut and the styling Alyssa did. I dont always know how to communicate what exactly I want, but she listened very well and made great suggestions and got me one of the best cuts I've ever had. She really focused and took her time with all the layers and shaping; and I have a lot of hair. Loved the blowout and styling she did. Felt great going out to dinner after! And the photo was from after dinner. It looked great all night. I dont live in Boston but will absolutely come back to her when Im back in the area.
I had the best experience with Renee—she did an absolutely amazing balayage! My hair has never looked this good or felt this healthy. The salon itself has such a warm, welcoming vibe, and I loved meeting the owner (and her adorable pugs, Pepe and Chico!). You can really tell everyone here loves what they do. Highly recommend if you’re looking for talented stylists and a fun, relaxing atmosphere!
I had an amazing appointment with Lucy. She transformed my regular straight boring hair into an edgy bang look that feels like was made just for me. She was super attentive to what I wanted and made me feel so comfortable. My haircut plus the experience 10/10. I will definitely be returning!
